  • It's pretty easy for players. You can lock everything and give them access to their own token(s) only. The player can pan and zoom their own view, but when required you can sync all player views with your current view.

I've used Owlbear Rodeo in online sessions with co-workers that had never before played any ttrpgs, and it went great.

  • I use Owlbear Rodeo

It has maps, tokens, fog of war and some small tools like a pointer and a measuring tool for distances — everything I need.

If required you can install extensions but so far I do not really use that.

  • My previous character was a Dwarf Marine (barbarian, path of the ancestral guardian). He was wielding an anchor as a 2-handed weapon.

He met his fate killing a sub-boss. (that is: a boss that came from the sea floor, the captain of a submersible galleon)

  • You mean like a System Reference Document?

  • Ttrpg's can definitely be used by therapists (e.g.see https://gametogrow.org/ ) but people in general should not underestimate the skill and training professional therapists bring to the table. Just playing an rpg is not therapy.

  • I get the 21 , but I'm not clear about the 100.

  • Gennerelly accepted where ?

  • Phb page 37, on selecting languages, says:

Your character knows at least three languages: Common plus two languages you roll or choose from the Standard Languages table. Knowledge of a language means your character can communicate in it, read it, and write it. Your class and other features might also give you languages.

So your character gets at least three languages and also—so, additionally—what you get from other features like class or background.

  • Sorry to have bothered you all. Now it works 🤔

  • You are aware that the inside is lined with plastic anyway?

  • But but.... my golden dragon mini!

Just kidding, I did not bother to try out project Sigil, so my golden dragon mini was never claimed. It's hard on the developers that were laid off, but I won't miss the tool, at all.

  • The 2024 spell ends immediately if you deal any damage. So, also item damage.

  • 5e RAW, they remain invisible. However, using the tinderbox will make noise so enemies will likely notice that.

In the 2024 rules, dealing damage (even if not by attacking) causes invisibility to end.

NOTE: both versions of the rules (see the oil item description) state that in this scenario, an enemy only takes damage if it enters or ends its turn in the oiled space. Starting their turn in the burning oil does not cause damage, so just moving out of the space will prevent the damage. The lighting of the oil also does not cause immediate damage

  • Tell me, what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?

  • So far, I've played three sessions with three different groups. Haven't run into big issues yet. Next session I will be using monsters from the new MM. I'm curious to see how the balancing turns out.
