  • When I tried out fedora on my gaming PC I noticed most games ran noticeably worse on my Nvidia card. They still ran, you could still play, but the experience was nonetheless worse. Elden ring went from rarely dropping below 60 on windows to hovering around 45. FFXIV which would often be at 144fps, usually around 110 during dungeons and only dropping below 100 in really busy cities, went to never even reaching 100.

It's doable but be prepared for games to run worse. When I looked up issues I found this was normal for Nvidia cards. So just be prepared.

  • Historically the kind of awareness it brings is less constructive information on the problems with these websites, and more on the line of unhelpful paranoia.

  • Hansen is generally more of a grifter these days to be fair. And even back in the heyday of the show, it had a lot of issues both legal and just moral. I really feel weird about this kind of predator catching stuff being made as entertainment.

  • No, author of this article, paying for premium is not a workaround.

  • No, the original comment just did not make any sense to begin with.

  • When all you end up posting comes off as nonsensical ramblings, yeah explanation is needed so people can actually understand you. Otherwise it just looks like nonsensical ramblings.

  • No dude your comment just makes no sense.

  • I actually do want all the DLC in a game like that. The fact it's prohibitively expensive just means I've never actually bought any and stick to the Sims 3, a game where I do have all the expansions.

  • The bitcoin boom turned any crypto currency into just a volatile means of investment. None of them are seen as currencies to buy things anymore, and I don't think that's changing.

Not to mention the many other issues with crypto currency as a concept. But those don't really matter in the face of, well, not being viewed as a currency anymore.

  • Absolutely fucked up.

  • Not like this game was worth a damn anyway. Better off emulating 2 or 3.

    1. Looks disgusting like the mobile game ads I see on tumblr
    2. Looks fake like the mobile game ads I see on Tumblr.
  • It's vague still as a native speaker, I imagine most people's first instinct would be that "best" would be least antisemitic and "worst" would be most. The meaning in wording like this comes from whether or not what you are ranking people on is good or bad. To most people, antisemitism is bad. (or at least I'd hope) So "best" would mean "least".

A better way of phrasing the question would just be to ask to rank them most to least antisemitic. That would be much less vague.

  • My only real experience with this guy was that he helped fund a mario 64 romhacking competition that I entered. So I got some money from him because of it. Funny how that works out.

  • There's a logic to a smaller team being more "agile" than a larger team, but yeah these companies aren't turning them into smaller studios. They're expecting fewer people to do the work of a larger studio. The problems are obviously except to execs who are literally too stupid to think.

  • Probably not the kind of hardware you're thinking of but I have an old Roland synthesizer, an Edirol SD-90, that did not work on Linux. Now, I didn't expect it to given the hoops I had to jump through just to get it to work on modern windows. So Linux seemed out of the question already. But can be a big deal depending on what you use your computer for.

  • I had to switch back to Windows for now since game performance was noticeably worse with my Nvidia card on Fedora vs Windows. Something running at around 130-144fps cutting down to 80-9fos as an example. So be prepared for that. From what I gather it's unique to Nvidia.

  • Storefront 101 supposedly yet it took steam almost a decade to implement and is largely useless due to being filled with jokes and sourced from people who don't actually understand how to review something.

  • People talk about the "features" epic is missing but honestly the vast majority of those features are kinda pointless?

I don't like epic's store because the layout is annoying and it likes to send me ads in the bottom right corner. It's not that complicated.

  • If you're already using a flash cart then does that really even matter though?
