  • And as you sit there deep in thought you feel something tickle your nethers, you think little of it at first but as soon as you feel it again you shift your position and look down. At the same moment your mind comprehends that it’s the hand of an otter, that very hand grabs ahold of your dangling valuables and pulls. You are never seen again.

  • Even people you’d really expect to use adblockers. A good example is right here on Lemmy, people here are generally pretty tech-savvy yet you get threads with lots of people complaining about ads. This has been a weird lesson as I get older, seeing that most people somehow don’t even think about lifting a finger to fix things they see as problems, they really just complain and then do absolutely nothing to help themselves. It’s the same with if someone mentions something they don’t know what it is, instead of taking 5 seconds to just look it up they comment to ask about it and then never reply to people answering their question. I’m certain that it’s very common to have some weird need to make others do work for you, they don’t actually care about finding out what something is or how to do something to fix a problem, they just care about making others spend any kind of effort for them.

  • I basically lived D2 from Beyond Light to right before Lightfall, loved my time with it but it was too costly with all the full-price expansions, season pass shit etc. just to be able to access a lot of the game. And I was weary of Bungie during that whole time and finally decided to boycott them and the game (and future ones unless they change).

I started playing Warframe about three months ago and absolutely love it, it’s so nice never feel like I HAVE to pay to do anything. Very few things are locked behind having to pay with real money, I think only some skins are. The devs are also very communicative with the players and listen to the community way more than most others. It’s not perfect of course, but the issues aren’t shitty and greedy devs, it’s mainly that some things aren’t fully explained in game and stuff has changed so much over the years that many guides, tutorials and tips you find online don’t really apply anymore. But I’ve got a good grasp of most of the game now and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon, currently at 550+ hours and there’s so much more to do, and more on the way.
