I believe the reason the AppleWatch app exists in the first place is because the base app didn’t provide enough “unique” features to be approved for release on the AppStore, is it was more or less just a container for the web app with a few extras like haptics.

I loved his book Ghost in the Wires. Read it after he appeared on The Colbert Report years ago.
