You don’t have to go back that far, just look at digital music. People were trading files on Napster, and the music industry was having a fit. Steve Jobs opened the iTunes Music Store and started selling all files for .99, people started gobbling them up, and piracy went down. Then along came Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, etc., and most people are happy to pay. Why, because it’s so much easier and convenient than trying to pirate it and get it on your phone/player.
Don’t get me wrong, people still pirate, but the percentage is low compared to what it was before these easy legal options. People will always take the easiest route, legal or illegal.
The Shield is an amazing, gritty series about The Strike Team, a special unit in an LA police department. The writing is tight, the story threads are engaging, and the end of every episode makes you want to immediately start another one just to see how it all plays out. It was seven seasons long, and they all connect from the first episode to the last one.
I recently heard of this and watched it too. I'm not even a fan of horror movies, but this one looked interesting, was really good, and kept me engaged.
Sooooooo, she makes $40,000 PER STUDENT (or more), and her husband is involved with and getting paid by companies tied to this. I’m sure they only have the students’ best educational interests at heart. 🙄
Yeah, if I go back and watch the first couple of episodes, Michael is almost unrecognizable.
