The democrats represent the group of americans that think money and “american ingenuity” can solve all problems. No problem is a real problem because we can always solve it if we just try real hard to make the current thing better.

Thats why they are the status quo party, its literally their whole founding belief.

The republicans are a party of changing backwards, which only works sometimes, usually when people are upset: “remember when things weren’t awful…?”

The rest of the parties are thinking long term and are true parties of change but you need money to make it in politics, or else not enough people even know you exist at the higher political levels. There were I think five “third” parties on my ballot but I only ever heard people talk about one or two of them.

I’m not sure if its more likely the democrat party collapses out of disinterest and a third party replaces them, or if the democrat party will become a true party of change for the future.

It could just continue on as the party of “America is amazing and will always be amazing so vote for us for more amazing.”

You had it right the first time, people voted for change in 2020, and they did it again this time. Same same.

The difference is in who they will fuck over so we can stay greedy and entitled. Democrats fuck over poor people, republicans fuck over minorities and immigrants. Both groups fuck over the rest of the world.

Kamalas campaign thought they could win without offending any megadonors, despite seeing what a bit of honesty did for them right after biden was replaced.

I was pretty bummed to hear mark Cuban wants Lina Khan fired. Cubans been a huge spokesperson for Kamala and insists they talk often.

Its worth searching it up, theres many recent stories detailing the methods.

They use a representative sample by reaching out to random voters or posting ads online in social spaces. Once they have enough people to make representative groups to match the population of the state or nation, maybe a few thousand people, they then ask them questions.

They tend to use the same people repeatedly, as they are more reliable in answering, and some of them are regularly paid small amounts for their time.

The polls are essentially tracking a group of people who thought it was worth their time to answer polls, which I am not a part of, and noone I know is a part of.

Edit to add: one new thing this election cycle is that a new weight has been added to account for party affiliation, which wasnt used before.
