I think more people know about Arch from it being mentioned than who actually use it. Actually I think more people know about Arch from the meme of an Arch user mentioning it than who have mentioned using it.

They are properly informed, because they have the same access to news that you do.

I question if these two are the same. For any candidate. I also laugh at any group being called informed, because there definitely is disinformation out there everywhere, more and more.

This has nothing to do with the topic, only an overall observation that no one can claim any group is “properly informed”. “Properly” also is a loaded word…I don’t think you meant it nefariously, but it could be read that way.

These endorsements are important not necessarily because of who is doing them, but for the constant wave of reminders that are more high profile than usual political messages. I think the biggest fight is against complacency as we start seeing the “sweeping poll numbers” from the media near the end. Vote regardless of who you’re told is winning, it won’t matter until the votes are counted.

Especially using the name and clout to help the local races which are run more often. Get third parties well known regionally with serious candidates, you’ll see demand for them grow nationally.

Fixed it, and it hyperlinks on its own. Why have a link icon in the editor when it’s not necessary? I tried to figure out the fediverse shortcut for links (since it’s a post in lemmy.world but I see it through fedia.io making a mess of the url), but it doesn’t seem to be universal yet either.

Nice wiki link. The Talk section is also interesting, mainly concerned with the list of cities that are called Fall Line cities in the two Fall Line entries. I noted it because my location is on one list but two other places more eastern are on the other list, so it seems to be a very ambiguous definition, as geology tends to be.

Just to clarify, Trump started and enabled the “talking out loud” part of many subjects, not the idea that making voting harder for some demographics helps Republicans. That’s been a decades long thing, about as long as the big switch of parties. It’s part of what drove “Eisenhower Republicans” to be life long Democrats.

I think she got banned from them, back when they were a normal social media platform. And she locked herself to one door, so everyone going in used the other door and didn’t care. Someone else posted a link about it.

Bills don’t often get passed on the first try. If anything you should be critical that this is only the second time, it ought to be a constant attempt to change a system that seemingly everyone not making a profit from is against. I’ll also say that the only way anything like this will get passed is through the left, the right does not want everyone to get a vote. So it will likely fail again somewhere unless the ratio of left-right shifts. As is true of any bills that favor the public good.
