  • That doesn't make this acceptable.

  • Always have been

  • There's nothing special about socialism.

  • Jesus was definitely not liberal. He was a socially-conservative socialist. Pope Francis is probably a good modern example.

  • Wtf kinda boomer ass meme is this?

  • Is Nobara still a thing? That was the gaming distro a couple years back, last I checked.

  • Toxic masculinity is generally unhealthy. So it would follow if that were the case.

  • Trump's not an idiot, he just plays one on TV. He wants to distance himself from Putin now for some reason. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure there is a reason.

  • They very much are. This was and is a clear violation of human rights. It makes the US a dangerous place for any foreigner to travel to. Regardless of how much gaslighting is going on, don't let anyone normalize that for you.

CATO are republican, libertarian, wealthy aligned. But they aren't fascist and they understand the implications here.

  • The comfort class is going extinct. Even the people in these professional roles are going to start feeling the heat. We're almost to the point where if you aren't a doctor or lawyer, financial stress is going to be a part of your every day life.

  • This is last year. There are claims that they did it again this year.

  • Republicans threaten to do so in the US about once a year now.

  • The money is based on faith. If people lose faith, it's worthless and the US is in fact bankrupt. Taking on the entire world in a trade war and then passing a huge tax cut at the same time makes people think the country is unstable and they lose faith.

  • Something no one seems to realize is that the poorest people in the South don't drink municipal water in the first place. These people already have horrible teeth. I've seen it first hand and it's honestly more that they often live in food deserts and their diets are literally honey buns and mountain dew. This is much ado about nothing.

  • That is a cosmetic defect with no benefit. You do not need fluoride during tooth development. 40% of all cases of fluorosis are caused by public water fluoridation. Just another reason to end it.

  • On a population level, I believe they have found that the 2x current fluoridated water levels that OC mentions cause a 1 point drop in IQ. This is huge on a population level.

  • 2x is not very much wiggle room for something that causes neurological impairment. Countries that do not fluoridate their water have seen the same cavity decline as the countries that do, most likely due to education about good dental hygiene.

  • This is false. Fluoride is not absorbed in the body and transported to the teeth. It only works on contact with dental surfaces. You do not need fluoride to develop "strong" teeth. It only works on the exposed enamel. Growing teeth would only be impaired if the child had some other disease or deficiency, like calcium. Fluoride does nothing for developing future adult teeth.

  • San Andreas was peak. 5 was better than 4, IMO. Worse than Vice City and I think you have rose colored memories thinking 3 is better than 5. 3 was janky and fairly linear.
