  • Yeah, the disconnect you also felt here when you said that Biden is clearly suffering dementia was crazy. People just deluded themselves and gaslit like crazy instead of acknowledging that Bidens mental health was not up for another 4 years of presidency. And this topic alone dragged on for months, until Biden failed the candidate debate so badly, even the billionaire donors got cold feet. But again it was the billionaire donors who pushed for Biden to drop out, not the concerns of the normal people. The DNC has effectively immunized against the voices of the people. And with all the talk about Trump bringing the end to Democracy, the Reps held proper primaries every cycle.

  • Israel claims to be the state representing Judaism as a religion and Jews as an ethnicity. Israel heavily lobbied for things like the application of the IHRA definition of antisemitism by allied countries. That definition is conflating anti-zionism with antisemitism, which means conflating all of Judaism with Israel.

So Israel is responsible for some antisemitism as its actions cause hate against Israel and Israel works to make this hate go towards all Jews instead. This serves to purposes. The first is to always claim antisemitism, when Israel is rightfully criticized. The second is to hold all Jews outside Israel hostage to support Israel and to make them less safe, so they feel like they need to support Israel as a “safe haven”.

Israel profits from antisemitism and antisemitism profits from Israel, which is why some of the greatest supporters of Zionism have been staunch antisemites. Finally when it comes to people being attacked as “antisemites” for criticizing Israel, these are disproportionately Jews. Jews that are against Zionism are a great danger for the narrative of Israel, so they take special care to attack them.

  • If France pushes for full economic sanctions on Israel their economy will tank even further. The EU is Israels largest trading partner with 22% of their exports (second after US with 26%) and 31% on imports (US second with 13%).

If the EU uses that to pressure other nations like Turkey and Azerbaidschan it gets grim. Of course the US can throw them a permanent lifeline. At some 50-100 billion $ a year of economic aid on top of the military aid. I wonder how popular an “Israel support tax” of 500$ would be with the average American.

  • So not voting for genocidal candidates now make genocide support? stop projecting.

The Dems were hellbent on supporting gneocide. People chose to be fine with it, even attacking people who called it out.

The flak we got here for saying for months the Dems need to stop the genocide support to win the election now raises the question whether they were just tactically wrong, or whether they werent really into the genocide themselves. That would explain why now there is efforts to project it on the other people.

At every turn we were told that supporting genocide is better than supporting genocide and homophobia. Saying we should push for a non genocidal candidate, for which there was plenty of time at first, got immediately shut down.

The most consistent position of the Biden/Harris fans was to accept genocide, because that was the strongest criticism raised consistently against them. Now you end up not only having lost the election but having lost the election because you were in support of genocide.

It is no wonder that Trump managed to win, when the center is so morally bankrupt. It is no wonder that there was no way to inspire people to vote for Harris and Biden if the messaging constantly was “yeah we are morally bankrupt and we are also genociders and racists, but we are less than the other side. This is as good as we allow to happen”.

This is on the Democrat elites and their supporters. Own up to it instead of projecting the blame.

I would have been happy if the Dems had stopped supporting genocide, saving tens of thousands of lifes and then winning in a landslide.

Thats what i advocated for for months. But the party would rather risk losing the election to Trump than stop sending weapons to a genocide.

Not voting is absolutely the wrong move. It signals complacency.

Voting third party shows that people care enough, but aren’t willing to give power under the current policies/proposed policies. This is also why ranked choice is vastly superior to first past the post. It allows for a more coherent signaling from the people into politics.

Again because your country has extensive military, political and economic influence in my country.

So whatever you decide has strong consequences for my country too. Are you familiar with the concepts of privilege and power imbalance?

You have the power, you have the responsibility. Now whether you want to listen to people who you have power over, or whether you say “America First” is something you have to make up with your own moral compass.

    • Unsympathetic candidate from the depths of the establishment.
    • Focusing on virtue signaling “how can you not want a women? And now she is asian and black too!” instead of real life improvements for the affected demographics. Especially after 8 years of Obama have shown that a black president doesn’t mean much in that regard.
    • Focusing on who they are not, instead of focusing who they are.
    • Not opening up for a full primary, instead pushing the establishment candidate through.
    • Not addressing peoples economic concerns and offering a progressive solution for that, instead sucking up to the billionaire donors
    • Having a candidate that is currently involved in a war/genocide or advocating for more of it (Hillary)
    • Establishing a culture of looking down on “stupid” or “backwards” rural and rust belt voters
    • Sending contradictory in or mixed messages on various issues, depending on who they address/what the latest poll said to be important
    • Sending a message of a sure election in their bubbles, demotivating some of their usual voters.
    • Focusing on endorsements by high profile celebrities, further giving the image of a party of elites, rather than for the normal people.

Those were the bunch that came to my mind and what i remember seeing in various election streams.

If your country wouldn’t operate multiple military bases in my country, including storing some nuclear warheads here, operating huge lobby groups that captured large parts of my countries press as well as high ranking politicians like chancellors or foreign ministers you had a point. Economically we also have a lot of American investments. Heck the possible next chancellor is an asset of Blackrock. One of the leaders of the fascist party is an asset of Goldman Sachs and neoliberal think tanks.

But as Americans are influencing the fate of my country quite extensively, i will voice my opinion about what they should and shouldn’t do. Which i think is a rather small influence compared to military, political and economic influence the US is exerting here.
