I'm just this guy. You know?

  • Yeah, I wouldn't watch it. I also don't watch boxing or football. They probably should have shut them down if they are policing their streams at all.

  • I don't know. I don't eat there often, but pretty much everything they make is good. I can't even think of another place that makes chicken and dumplings... For that style of food, I would always take a higher end one off restaurant in the Carolina. But for something ubiquitous, it is pretty much the only option, and it isn't as expensive as Shatley Springs or something.

  • Don't you know there are only two opinions in the world? Conservative and Liberal. Everything is neatly sorted into those two opinions. All questions, physical items, debates, people, opinions, foods, roller coasters, pickles, etc. All of it is Either Conservative or Liberal. Democrat or Republican. Whig or ...torry? I dont know. I mean, how could a rational human like fried chicken, grits, antiques, etching style line art, biscuits and old-fashioned candy without also hating Mexicans and hating killing babies?

  • Okay. Fine. Who do you want to have control of what you can see, hear and read?

  • Not a straw man. An actual point.

  • People never think of that. They always clamor for censorship, always thinking censorship will go their way and censor the things they don't like. Since the police already went to where this guy was and determined that he was there of his own volition, I don't think the streaming services should have any other responsibility. The streaming services should always err on the side of not censoring anything.

  • Well. Devil's advocate, they are holding the streaming service responsible because they didn't block the stream, which presumably would presumably disrupt the streamer's actions. I don't personally think Kick should be responsible at all.

  • Only 5% of the land in America is developed according to a 2015 Bloomburg report. That leaves a lot of space for grasshoppers. By comparison, 80% of European land is developed. Fortunately a lot of that is farm and pastures or else they would be in trouble. We do have a lot of ugly cities though.

  • They don't actually believe in those things. So the question is, what riders are coming with those bills?

  • More random anti-ai fear mongering. I stopped looking at r/technology posts in reddit because that sub is getting flooded with anti-ai propoganda posts with rediculous headlines like this to the point that those posts and political posts about technology ceos is all there is in that community now. (This one is getting bad too, but there are at least 25% of the posts being actual technology news. r/technology on reddit is reaching single digit percentages for actual technology posts. )

  • Well. I think we need to start giving WWII era Germans a pass. Even the people who see what's happening are just sitting here shaking our heads and, at most, getting a little excited, hoping that it means a few more points for the blue team next gametime. Also I guess there are the ones doing the proactive thing and posting things to social media with headlines like "MAGA World Has Meltdown Down Over (x nonsense they aren't melting down over.)!" Maybe that will do some good. Really, anything we actually try to do will just get us arrested and not help anything.

  • This is how people consume media now. They enjoy it and want more but will only say negative things about it and thrash around in the throws of mock disgust so strong that they start to actually believe their own BS. Well, at least that is how Marvel and Star Wars fans consume media anyway.
