I have the same lenovo and it indeed seems impossible what it can do. I installed linux on it so my mother could use it and I was blown away by the performance

I know this isn’t really a distro or linux. But my 2012 13" runs mac os ventura(mac os 13 iirc) perfectly using opencore legacy patcher. it just takes some time(30sec or so) to boot but after that ot runs rly smooth.
Thanks will check these out when I have some time soon. I remember watching it as a kid was an amazing show even back than.
My list of shows i have watched multiple times when i don’t know what to watch, not all old shows but still.
MacGyver
Lucifer(s1-4)
The expense
A-team
Stranger things
I don’t watch it myself but my parents often said how much they enjoyed it. Most of the time tge writers also add some jokes meant for adults.
I don’t use linux that often but when i do VIM is the go to text/document editor. Absolutely the best imo. Sad to see someone who created something this useful go. RIP
Most of these are very good things except the downvotes thing. Or at least if I understand correctly, it could be the same as with tutorials after youtube removed dislikes.
Same, i also think that it somewhat improved my well being since I’m less focused on what ppl online think. And I do still kinda miss reddit, not the platform but the people and the communities rip apollo.
W8 what, awards going away. Wow didn’t expect that especially when they still want to go public. Kinda surprising
They think they hurt te platform by using it and even paying for awards and so. Also i think many people don’t care about the shit that’s happening and just want free karma
Not to insult your friend. But what a dumb thing to say imo.
Same, still use it when i have a problem or so and it isn’t on kbin(e.g many not tech and smaller subs never had a blackout bc they mostly use reddits first party app)
Thought so, still quite impressive that a group of people can do so much better in their free time than reddit
I think people mostly think talk about lemmy bc it’s better known and has more support. Multiple lemmy apps in development conpared to apps for kbin.
I personally own a couple of knifes(mostly swiss army and so) some of the have a liner lock and it also took me some time to figure it out. But once you know how it’s really simple. Great skill that more people need to have imo
Same for me, i was part of many smaller subreddits that had nothing to do with tech and i think most used the reddit app. They still haven’t moved and I don’t think they will. They simply don’t care(bc they didn’t yse 3th party apps)
I think they will still kind of seek conflict with reddit. Reddit users that are leaving will then move to threads instead of kbin/lemmy.
If you want to install linux because it doesn’t support the newest mac os version i would recommend opencore patcher. I use it on my 2013 Macbook pro and it works perfectly fine on ventura(mac os 13) and should work fine on mac os 14
