If you think any or all of these is going to finally get a Trump supporter to lose faith, then you failed to learn the lesson that 2016 should’ve taught you, and yesterday should’ve reminded you of - they will never lose faith. He could tell them to literally kill their own kids and they’d just say “Oh, like what God told Abraham! I’ll get right on it, my Lord!”
My wife surprised me by how much she enjoys just randomly saying “Get-get-get-get down! Get-get-get-get up…mom.”
My friends and I still love to quote those. My friend Brian pretty much always walks into a room with “Hey everybody! I’m the new kid - my name’s Brian! I like to Skateboard!”
This is the biggest thing. If he were to actually tell the full truth here, he’d be less successful in getting his message across to the people who listen to him. Full truth is the ultimate goal, but we’re so far from it that for half the country it’s an impossibly huge leap to go from where they are now to the truth in one bound.
I just want them to finish the beta 2D version of Rayman 2. I was so excited when I unlocked the demo for it at the end of Rayman 2, thinking it was a sneak preview for the next game, only be disappointed to learn it was the scrapped initial concept instead…
3D Rayman games are good, but they feel like a completely different series when compared to the bright, colorful world of Rayman 1. The newer 2D ones are closer, but still feel too different.
I liked sneaking up on them and stabbing them before they even started getting up.

Every Republican I know thinks that every person has to support themselves and their ideals alone. You vote in your own interests, no one else’s, you work toward your own goals, benefitting no one else, and even when you help someone, it’s only who you’ve decided deserves it, no one else. I’m sure they think that 1/3 of life deserves to die if it can’t survive in this world. (Pay no attention to how much I i rely on government support to live, though - I’m special)
I sure hope so, but I don’t see much changing. I guess we’ll see by looking at where Reddit is at business-wise by next year. People were saying it was doomed last summer after the 3rd party app fiasco, and their daily traffic has only gone up since then. I’ve long since lost all faith in the masses making the best choices for themselves.
They’re better than the OLD alternative, which was total boycotting at best, and torches and pitchforks at worst. The NEW alternative is complaining about it for a week or two, then continuing on without making any changes at all. They don’t mind the new alternative.

That’s the way it’s been for a while now. There’s so many crises that we just run to the new one every few days, forgetting about the old one and never actually resolving any of them. Considering how complaisant the burnout makes us, I’d imagine it’s not entirely happenstance that things are so hectic.

I guarantee you he asked someone who he was supposed to be introducing right before he went on stage, heard the name Nicky, pictured a woman, and introduced accordingly.
It’s true that it’s their choice, but a lot of people grew up hearing the phrase “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life!” so when they enter the workforce and find that they hate it, they look for a hobby they’re passionate about, and plan their career around it. But when they make it their job, they find that instead of the hobby making work more bearable, the work instead makes the hobby unbearable, and now they’ve got a job they hate and have lost one of their passions.
I’m sure there are some people who can love their hobby even as they are forced to wake up every day and do it regardless of whether or not they want to, but for me, anything I have to do every day becomes something I hate. The best career option for me is to work with something I was already indifferent toward, so it doesn’t matter if I start hating it.
I get so many people who react to my baked goods with “Wow, you should sell these!” I bake to unwind from work - what would I do to unwind if baking was my work? I already ruined thrift stores for myself by working at one for my first job - I know not to do it again.
Eh, it’s just removing unnecessary words as most headlines do. “Cheney says Republicans (that are) against Trump but (are) not backing Harris (are) ‘not (doing) enough’”
I mean, most of them probably became judges specifically to gain the power to choose who needs to follow what laws - as well as the profitable position that puts them in for rich criminals who don’t want to go to jail.
I don’t honestly think that would work. They’ve been conditioned to take comfort in not knowing things. I’ve seen the thought process unfold in front of me hundreds of times: “If a republican did it, it was a good thing and part of the plan, even if I don’t understand how yet.” It’s exactly the same thought process that they employ for their religion: “God is good and does good things, even though terrible things happen to people all the time that God must have allowed if he exists, there’s always a plan, even if we don’t know it.”
