This joke’s getting as stale as the “attack helicopter” shit your alt-right counterparts say.

It’s Facebook for corporate shills and people who pretend to be one when looking for a job.
Having a digital only version of a console is very concerning from an e-waste point of view. It’ll be an odd-shaped brick years later when the digital store front is long gone and the old SSD gets corrupted.
I’ll completely jump ship once SolidWorks can run on Linux. Wine is still a little iffy with it.
Yakuza 0. I think I’m doing something wrong because the resolution’s set to 720p with all sliders set to low and I still get 25 to 50 FPS.
I hate to say it but there are simply so many subjects to cover in a single day that it’s hard to reinforce the lessons learned in class within the given amount of time in a school session. Maybe if schools were structured in a way in which fewer subjects were taught each day would the lessons stick better without the need of homework.
Recruiters keep asking me to apply and I must’ve told them to pound sand about 3 times in the past 2 years.
The janitor works for $8/hour out of desperation. The CEO works for $10k/hr out of greed. The difference in pay rates based on position should be regulated. I think a CEO should only be paid at most 10 times more than the lowest paid job in any organization. That way everyone will have some parity and a shot at a decent life even at the low end.
I wouldn’t mind if they passed the savings on to the consumer… But they won’t.
Last I checked the “tankies” signed a non-aggression pact with the Nazis and only became a reluctant ally because they were betrayed.
Mexico encouraged Americans to move into Texas as means to populate and develop the area so long as the settlers agreed to assimilate to Mexican culture. Unfortunately the settlers weren’t loyal to the Mexican government and started a revolt for independence when Mexico outlawed slavery in 1829. Thanks to the fumblings of general Santa Anna, the rebels captured him and had him sign the Treaties of Velasco in 1836 essentially conceding all land above the Rio Grande to the rebels in exchange for his life.
This of course infuriated the central Mexican government and they refused to ratify the treaties. Due to internal instability though the central government was unable to do much about it and had no choice but to leave the matter alone. It was only after Texas was admitted to the US as a slave state did president James K Polk start a fight with Mexico over the territory that eventually led to Mexico’s defeat and loss of all other land that make up the states you’re referring to.
Even though all Mexican citizens who ended up in the new American borders were invited to stay as American citizens, some were systematically deported over the years well into the early 20th century.
Pancho Villa attacked US border towns in 1916 which prompted general John J Pershing to launch an unsuccessful expeditionary force to capture or kill him. The Mexican American War happened in 1846 to 1848 which was before his time. I think you might be referring to the Mexican Border War that was part of the bigger Mexican Revolution going on at the time. Either way I doubt Mexico would allow another military incursion from the north this time around.
As bad as this sounds it’s best to keep limited assistance to Ukraine if it can be helped. How would it look like to an increasingly unhinged Putin, dictator with a nuclear capable ICBM system, when the army of a country they invaded are rolling down the road to Moscow with highly advanced American equipment? There are two positive ways to end the war:
Ukraine invades Moscow with limited western support giving him less of a justification to send retaliatory missile strikes all over the world.
Things look so bleak even to the most financially comfortable Russian citizen that his own people turn on him and manage a successful coup before he can escalate things any further.
We’ve been down this road before. It just takes a few determined hackers to find a workaround. I can’t wait to see what their solution would be.
I love public rail and took it all over the place when I visited Japan, I even still have the JR Pass ticket in my wallet. If I had one public transportation wish for LA it’s that every freeway have a light rail line like in the 105. As for the homeless situation I am all in for fully funded housing first initiatives and think we haven’t done anywhere near enough for them. That said, the unfortunate state of events between the LA Metro and the city’s homeless allows for some very problematic things to happen in light rail train cars especially during transit. I’ve seen quite a bit of drug use, littering, and even an instance when I had a taser brandished at my face only to find out a second later the guy was trying to sell it to me. I really wish people wouldn’t react so quickly to a post and start accusing them of being some kind of monster.
I really hope they don’t act out on blowing up satellites. Kessler Syndrome will ruin any hopes of future space habitation and exploration for generations to come.
I just followed these tutorials and it worked quite well.
The single drive can power itself through USB. The other server with 2 drives have their own independent power supply. Look up WD EasyStore to get an idea of what kind of model they are.
I have two NAS Solutions, both using raspberry pis running OMV. First one is a single external USB hard drive acting as a buffer when it downloads my legitimately obtained media before transferring its data to the second NAS running two USB hard drives running RAID 1 for deep storage and streaming.
I tried Cane’s a few years back when it was just starting to open up in SoCal and I was underwhelmed. The fries were soggy, the chicken was okay and the bread was alright. I just couldn’t understand why there was a massive drive through line that rivals In n Out when there were so many better independent fried chicken restaurants around (Dave’s Hot Chicken, Howlin’ Ray’s, Jaxon’s Chicken, etc.).
