  • Couldn't agree more.

  • Protections? Is that what we're calling state-sanctioned censorship these days?

  • Why are they defending an app/website that has essentially become a knockoff of Stormfront?

  • Look, Google, I know you're trying to compete with Samsung but this is a little too hot.

  • ... and I have my age settings so I can see adult games like GTA/Dishonored, not “Super Hentai Bejeweled 3000”.

The former belong to the M rated category while the hypothetical latter would belong to the Adults Only category. As others have pointed out, you can hide adult games and still see other games with violence and mature themes. Steam classifies M-rated games and AO-rated games differently.

  • R.I.P Hellraiser. May you rock out in the afterlife with Dio, Lemmy, Cliff and all the others we have lost. Forgive us for though you said 'No More Tears' we shed this loss. Rest easy.

  • Remember folks, Ms. She-wolf of The SS wants to cut funding to Israel because of her raging hatred of Jewish people and not for the plight of the Palestinian people at the hands of the Israeli state. Also, something something Rothschild Space Lasers, something something George Soros.

  • Look, Bobby, I can get behind this but I don't go my drug dealer when I'm feeling sick.

  • Please tell me that this is a secret plot by Amtrak officials to increase their ridership and bring high-speed rail across the US? Because if it is, I'll 100% support it!

  • If this proves to be profitable, you know that the other airlines will do it.

  • Emulators. Are. Legal.

This was settled with the Sony/Bleem debacle. Bleem only provided the software by which one could emulate PSX games but never the ISO files themselves. Those files could only be provided by the end user regardless of how they obtained them. Sony, of course, couldn't give less of a shit and sued them anyways. Judges, however, took Bleem's side on the basis that no copyright infringement had been committed on their behalf. Although Bleem would ultimately win ever lawsuit brought against them, the sheer size of the legal costs led to their closure which makes you wonder if that was Sony's endgame the whole time.

Here's a video by Nerrel about the legality of emulation. It's from 2020 but it is still relevant.

  • Finally, an OS worthy of my "alternatively sourced" content library!

  • You could also point the similarities between ICE and the Gestapo and compare RFK Jr's proposed "autism directory" to Aktion T4.

  • "Armoured cars, tanks and guns! Came to take away our sons! But we must stand behind the men, the men behind the wire!"

Latinos and Irish united in their fight against immigration officials!

  • First, the way he turns to his co-hosts and says "The Blacks." Cringe.

Second, the historical trajectory of the N-word and 'Nazi' aren't even comparable. The N-word was used by an oppressive, ruling class to demean and dehumanized their subjects (i.e. black people, both freed and enslaved). It's later reclamation from the black community was a subversion of that oppression.

'Nazi' (from Nationalsozialismus), on the the hand, was a term of identification for adherents of an abhorrent ideology. It's how said adherents identified each other. With their defeat in WW2, 'Nazi' (along with 'Fascist') became a taboo descriptor; a descriptor of a racist loser. Neo-Nazis have attempted to re-evaluate the term but any sane and rational person can see right through them.

If you had any doubts that Fox News was the mouthpiece for American Fascism, this clip provide sufficient evidence.

  • From Rupert Murdoch's network of dimwitted talking heads.

  • Gotta some of that good ket?

  • It's a neat concept. The distro-agnostic aspect is definitely a plus for some people but I still prefer distro-specific installation methods. The only time I would seek out the Flatpak version of a particular software is when it's the only version available.

  • Thanks Reddit for giving me yet another reason not to go back
