Most EA and Ubisoft games I’ve played run fine on Deck. Just need to run the game in desktop mode first and then it boots in the Steam UI side of the OS just fine.
Go Goats! Just don’t do the oil change 😅
Laika shadow drop imminent
Justifying why Apple does it compared to Google doesn’t make it better. That’s like saying, “Well, they didn’t hit me THAT hard so it’s okay. The other guy would hit WAY harder.” Neither is okay
But my point is, if you want to play said game onlline, you have to give up your privacy in unknown ways, too. There’s no way to know what Denuvo or whatever is sending off to their 800 corporate friends or what they’re collecting while you play, either.
Don’t multiplayer PC games have anti cheat software that is malware-esque and often times root level? I seem to see folks pissed about all the anti cheat software on PC all the time
Point being, don’t you get fucked to play online one way or the other anymore?
2% of nothing is still nothing 🤷
Thanks for the tip! May have to do that on deck. I’d prefer switch, but beggars can’t be choosers lol
I wish there was a way to lengthen the days
If they were smart, they’d raise the prices to whatever their maximum surge pricing is and then show discounts on slower times. Then when they roll back the policy, they get a sneaky price increase because the higher prices were the “non-discoumted” prices
A lot of folks are suggesting fast food apps help you continue getting cheaper prices on their low quality meals. But not much mention that you are selling your data to continue receiving those meals at those lower rates.
Apple already invented the phrase/name: Spatial Computing
Where were you in the early 2000s? Lol
That’s a fair point but HoloLens also didn’t block your vision to the environment. I imagine with today’s tech, it would’ve been able to deliver comparable or at least 80% of the image quality while still not needing passthrough and still allowing you to pin screens everywhere.
This might be a bad take but it seems like a worse version of HoloLense. Just glancing at the pros/cons list seems like HoloLense already covered this ground at a similar price point
30fps on lows from what I remember seeing others post. Allegedly there is a mod to help performance on Deck, too
Thanks! Very helpful to start looking!
Does anyone have a rec for something you can buy and selfhost beyond a pi setup?
Nah. My mone is on a new and transformative way to fuck the end user over via a more scummy battle pass thing
