  • Yeah, I can be pretty frugal with game purchases and will often wait for sales, but this one I didn't even have to think about. They're going to sell a bazillion copies at this price.

  • I don't know, but I did see an article recently that reddit is capping how many big subs one person can moderate. I feel like it's too late though, as political, corporate, and government accounts are probably all over and coordinating. They could easily just hand off to each other or alts.

  • Lol, fortunately I tend to post stuff early in the day, and my gaming time is in the evenings after getting the kids to sleep.

    A mild concern I have is that my GPU on the PC I'm using for Linux is an old 770... I probably won't be playing anything close to current. But that's not linux's fault.

  • It's been great! Way easier than I expected it to be. I know both of our distros are supposed to be good entry points for Linux. I spent some time last night figuring out how to add GNOME extensions for customization, which was fun.

    I haven't had time to attempt any gaming on it yet since installing last weekend, but I'm looking forward to trying tonight.

  • What is happening in the UK in the last year or so? I keep seeing crazy headlines like this every so often.

    The online safety act requiring ID, police showing up at old people's houses for their Facebook/twitter posts, or that one time someone suggested they would try to extradite Americans for the same thing. Where is this coming from all of a sudden?

  • I dealt with something similar with Discord once. It was infuriating. These companies often contract out this type of responsibility, and nobody has any incentive to care or spend any time with any individual case, so you can just be completely cut off.
