Has anyone tried with controller? Is it decent? This game has been on my radar for a while, but I’m hesitant because I want to play with controller, and it looks like a lot of menu.

I’m a PC player but I always wonder when people have this take. I dislike, hugely, their treatment of fans in the preservation space. However, as a company they seem to not do big layoffs, rarely buy companies or IP, and have a history of leadership falling on their swords (financially) during hard times to keep their employees.

I don’t dislike them as a whole because of those elements that are dead at large.

I could be wrong, I’m not deeply knowledgable outside of a handful of articles over the years.

I would rank Microsoft way worse though and I used to be in their ecosystem as a big fan. Biggest pusher of owning nothing.

I hope your right. My experience in life has been people will constantly loosen what they find acceptable and it does not stay contained but spreads. 😟

The new Declarative Net Request API is still a downgrade in capability compared to the older API, but the feature gap has closed significantly. If a certain website finds a workaround for ads that Manifest V3 extensions can’t block, then you probably should just switch browsers or stop going to that site. I would like to see the rules limit continue to increase, though.

I enjoyed the article. I don’t think it’s coincidence that Google is going after adblockers at the same time as this is happening, despite suggested improvements that will come along with Manifest V3.

It could make things more secure from malicious extensions but in my experience people who install extensions tend to be a bit more savvy and people who aren’t savvy tend to not use extensions. That’s just my experience though.

I do think people should get paid for efforts so we can keep nice things that could be getting served to us by a small team. Websites I frequent for gaming info for example. But I only found those places by searching and sifting through sites with poor morals and I need a way to browse safely for that.

If it can be done in the goaled 25, that would be great. Ubisoft has a history of making their games take way too much time for my liking. It all starts to overstay its welcome.

Unless gaming and using multiple monitors. That was my experience after a couple of months. Fedora, a few weeks in, has made things lot smoother. Otherwise though, Mint was great and with further Wayland I could see me use it again.

The bastards barely started selling it a few years ago. I feel like some responsibility should exist. It isn’t a company that is going under, so it shouldn’t be able to just casually kill the devices tied-service it only recently sold.

Do you know if you can just pay the difference to upgrade from simple to unlimited? I’m pretty sure I will gobble the 300 searches but they claim that 99% of people do not.

The recent London video from three weeks ago is approaching 400k views. Searching Fallout 4, “10 Hidden Mechanics in Fallout 4” from a day ago has 250k views.

I’m stoked for London but I think most people are just pumping it up from the show. Which is good because I just finished the show and I need more.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they assigned another studio to make another Fallout already.

As someone newer who has only used Ubuntu and Mint, what do you get elsewhere?

I’m using Mint and new to it. Does the Mint app store have more security or scrutiny? I’m cautious as most things are lucky to have one or two reviews listen. Many are zero though and it’s not quite clear to me yet how to tell if things are from an official source or if they had review.

It’s tough. Most gamers use it. I only recently was told about alternate clients but I don’t know which yet.

I was happy with Mumble and forums, but I completely get why it feels outdated to others.

If they are working on 5 sequels, two are Homeworld and Borderlands, that means there is a non-zero chance for Duke Nukem.

Can someone more savvy explain why they couldn’t also scrape what we all say here?

Maybe here is a good place to ask. I have used Mint for months now on my non-gaming laptop. I like it. I was ready to move my gaming rig at months end. Then I read that it can have issues with multiple monitors at different refresh rates and also with Mouse acceleration. Is this true and is there a solution?
