That last line captures exactly what I think they were going for. This was about as faithful of a Deadpool comic book as you could’ve made within the medium of movies.

There is a market for movies that make you think as much as there is a market for movies that are just about spectacle.
Calling one more true to the art of cinema than the other does a disservice to the medium and all the expressive, creative, and entertainment potential it holds.
Calling it the death of movies is so hyperbolic, it is beyond nonsense and frankly smacks of elitism.
What can they do? How about making the cellular models modular? 3G goes bust? Swap the modem for a 4G one next time the car is in for service.
The rest of the world agrees. Funny how even the broken clock that is the current Republican party is right every now and then.
I guess this is one of those times where being old and having played the first two installments of the series mentioned, because that was what was out at the time, makes you look cool. Right guys?
I struggle to see how being held accountable is a bad thing. Even in public office.
Nobody should be above the law.
Yeah, that’s what made me get premium. Even before the adblocker crackdown, the prospect of supporting creators and being able to ditch Spotify’s horrible artist compensation model made it a simple choice.
One has to wonder if we wouldn’t be better off without social media. Sure, it’s done a lot of good in helping people connect and exchange ideas, but some of those people aren’t acting in good faith, and some of those ideas are just plain terrible. I don’t claim to have the full solution, but it would be a great first step if the equivalent of a fairness doctrine were to be introduced to the algorithms these platforms use to weed out rampant misinformation.
People actively voted for deportation? Oh boy. There are some scary historic precedents there that I hope the Netherlands will avoid.
That’s somehow worse and also surprising. I thought your previous governments were made of the worker’s party and the Christian centrists. A quick trip to Wikipedia taught me I should stay up to date on politics if I’m going to comment on it.
So that makes me wonder: Why go further right if people feel the ruling right party let them down?
And there goes another country to the Alt-right. It’s really disheartening to see a message like this continue to win elections globally.
I get that people are worried their left and centre left governments have failed them, but why the pull to the opposite extreme?
That’s like saying you want to put ExxonMobil in charge of combating climate change because Greenpeace hasn’t solved it yet.
Yeah, I’ll look into that. It’s just a shame to have to do extra work and spend extra money because a company decides to screw you over after your purchase.
Well, look who’s looking like an idiot for setting up my entire house with Hue lights recently after running two bulbs with local control for years… sigh it’s getting mighty frustrating having to deal with companies hoarding your data.
Companies are held to certain expedience standards when it comes to removal. If you request it and the company doesn’t delete within the described maximum time, they will get fined under GDPR.
I know, this was inresponse to the other post about which parts of the GDPR to implement. If I had to pick any one feature to carry over from the GDPR into whatever legislation we get on this side of the ocean, I’d pick the right to deletion.
I’d much rather they implement the right to deletion. I know they will get their hands on a ton of data, regardless of how we write the clause. But at least let me delete that data when I want it gone.
There’s plenty stuff to criticise her for without having to bring up that completely unfounded sex trafficking story.
How about the fact that she helped popularize and legitimise Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop grift? Or that she gave doctor Phil a head start to his media persona and subsequent popularity? And then did it again with Dr Oz? And what about her help in legitimising Jenny McCarthy’s “vaccines cause autism” claims by lending her a global stage and audience for her wackjob pseudoscience? Or the time she legitimised cultist weirdo John of God? Or helped Tom Cruise deflect some serious allegations related to Scientology by allowing him to go bananas on her couch?
Like I said, there’s enough stuff she legitimately did to criticise her for without some fake news conspiracy bs.
Seconded, I’d want to see that too.
Ah okay, that makes sense. I’ll keep checking in on the project then until that’s ready. I don’t want to use my system’s default browser due to corporate filtering, so whenever this feature is implemented I’m ditching Sync :-)
Red Bull looked at that and said “hold my energy drink while I create crashed ice”
