I agree with you 100%, and Marx was very clear that capitalism is filled with theft and oppression. It's nice that Marx also at times rested his critique of capitalism abstracting all the crony-ness and analyzed capitalism with 'good intentions,' showing that even without the oppression/theft it's a failed system.
I appreciate all the hard work being done in creating good decentralized FOSS alternatives to proprietary platforms, so thank you.
The cherry on top is that as far as I can tell you guys are socialists/communists so here's hoping liberals/libertarians/conservatives also inspired by FOSS and decentralized spaces actually start reading marx.
The system is rigged for the ultra rich and politically and socially connected, meanwhile people are struggling to hold a steady and alright job that can barely pay their basic needs.
Fortunate for people, historical consciousness is rising and people are realizing more and more how corrupt the systems are across the nation-states.
Let's hope it's not too late to instigate social change that can address all this.
considering all the international resolutions and breaches of international law by Israel for almost all of its existence, the crippling sanctions are welcomed any time now.
Disarm Israel from being able to commit its genocide and ethnic cleansing?
Not allow Israel to continue to maintain and expand its settlements, all illegal under international law?
3, Sanction Israel until it dismantles its non-democratic and exclusionary state based on ethnonationalist exclusionary politics?
4, Ensure the right of return for Palestinian refugees and their descendants living many living in refugee camps and are stateless people, and allow them to return into their homes since the 1948 nakba?
Work on an international framework to ensure just reparations for the Palestinians are ensured?
I don't think they will do anything close to any of those points and this is just mere political posturing to protect themselves from allowing a genocide to happen while the 'international community' stood and watched and did nothing.
It's a bit insulting how they think they can dictate the terms of justice with their vague statements.
It's been decades many states have recognized Palestine as a state. Look where we are at today.
Thank you for your reply, this is helpful to know.
That's what I currently do as well, I just backup particular .config subfolders and other directories.
I'll probably continue to avoid just raw transferring an entire home directory on a new install.
that's a good question and I'm not sure. Worth it to find out, but personally I don't dual boot with Windows. I just have my main linux install and use a virtual machine. I never have needed to use a windows virtual machine but it would be interesting if I could activate it with the copy that came with my laptop.
Unless that copy is registered to my microsoft account? I have no idea that's how much I try to avoid windows now
On a related note, would you recommend restoring an entire home directory (including the dot files and all the dot directories) once I reinstall all the packages after a fresh install? Would it basically replicate my restored setup or would there be random issues that emerge? I'm thinking particular system settings related to kde/gnome settings, but others I might not be aware of.
yeah, and not just leftist. you can have the most liberal and bourgeois-backed nationalist project just to secure some kind of national sovereignty and there will still be a coup. Case point: Iran and Mosaddegh.
Imperialism will sap the wealth of countries and peoples for short term gains, regardless of the economic system.

edit: misread!
