  • Or maybe he just hands you a slip of paper which says "you know nothing"

  • You can tell he's never read 1984, he'd definitely want more ironically named government departments if he had

  • But Dame Wontsomeonethinkof-de-Children saw a government report which says 65% of children under 5 have seen explicit videos of kittens being raped to death using power tools! Surely this constitutes an emergency which requires us to abandon online anonymity

  • Well yeah I didn't mean to suggest anyone should back him as a presidential candidate. The ironic thing is the democrats would probably win more votes from Trump's base by having a more progressive candidate, because the left / right spectrum isn't everything. I'm sure many Trump voters were people who knew they were getting screwed over by the billionaire class and corrupt politicians, wanted change, and were dumb enough to think Trump would fix things. They could be won over by a progressive candidate, but I agree a right-leaning democrat is precisely the thing they will never vote for.

  • It could be that his counter-gerrymander is all talk and there will be some last minute failure to act on it, in which case he is indeed milquetoast and also full of shit. But, should he follow through on it, that's the opposite of milquetoast and an important step forward. It's great to see some recognition that the republicans fight dirty, always and openly, and that acting in good faith when your opponent doesn't, just means you lose.

We are at war, a creeping and undeclared war but war nonetheless. Newsom may be an asshole and his policies may be bad. In war, your allies might not be your heroes, nor even your friends. As long as they are shooting in the right direction and having an effect, that's a good ally.

  • Seriously. Half the comments in here are basically "How dare this guy be on our side! I will not abide anyone less pure than the Virgin Mary". Maybe it's just a bunch of right wing bots trying to sow division, but if so they are doing it remarkably well.

  • So he was Putin's bitch all along! Who could have guessed it?

    Anyway...

    Release the Trump/Epstein files

  • There was nothing like it at the time. Not even close. It was the most immersive game you could get

  • When shopping for clothes or shoes, you will find items in your size, and items in your preferred color/style. But never both at the same time.

  • The grifted, though, really believe in a cabal of powerful people molesting children. And however destructive they have been as a political force, they actually want to end what they think is a terrible ongoing crime.

I think the issue here is they got too close to the truth

  • I know I wasn't mature enough, but if being well informed, politically conscious and sensible were a prerequisite for voting, we'd be living in a very different world. As far as I'm concerned, this is most likely to change things for the better.

  • There's no way Pam Bondi doesn't have a personal copy. It's the only thing that would keep her from being thrown under the bus right now.

  • conclussion

    /kən-klŭsh′ən/

    noun

When the [probably wrong] answer, or its immediate consequence, hits you like a brick

  • I expect we'll see a spate of Jewish sounding motorists getting trapped in the car with windows disabled and exhaust fumes diverted to the inside of the car (even though it's electric; technology finds a way)

  • It works both ways. Governments are bending over backwards to silence opposition to Israel, and that means abandoning the rule of law and supressing free speech. The rot was there, but the open corruption and the sheer quantity of lies puts it into overdrive. If not for Israel, Trump would not have been reelected.

  • I see so many comments saying "voting won't work", "protesting won't work" etc. Anything that has any visible result, works. Because the majority of people follow the herd to a greater or lesser extent. You need to mobilise that majority in order to make a difference. The more you have a movement, the bigger, louder and more visible that is, the more people will join you. People need to feel which way the wind is blowing.

  • What happens is they eat the cheese and expect to pay for it, but they can't find any means of paying so they die while waiting for a member of staff to turn up. That's because capitalism is nature's way and anything else is against God.

  • They know perfectly well who they work for

  • Hell yeah. A damn fine joystick, until the leaf switches break
