  • I hope every little thing he has done comes back to bite him in the ass.

  • I'm sure someone has trained a model for that.

Here's a list on hugging face, not sure how good any of these are though. huggingface.co

  • Of course he is. It feels like the economy is already fucked either way.

  • They really fucking hate us, don't they?

  • It's not required, but smart people will still get their kids immunized most likely, right? This will only hurt kids...

  • Seriously, what other reason would there be for this other than intimidation? He's so fucking guilty.

  • For some reason it was the first thing that popped into my head when I read the original comment. Chade wasn't exactly a good man, but he was practical I guess.

  • I think I'm paraphrasing from a Robin Hobb book, but one of the characters had a line about how if he chose not to use a weapon at his disposal, someone else would come along and use it against him.

  • It's called greed. That big shiny bag of money behind them is a very compelling motivator for most people, especially the wealthy politicians.

  • It's taking too long for the ship to sink.

  • No problemo! The only thing I've run into with regards to being banned by other users is to not have anything or very little available for download. I got a warning from someone I downloaded from when I first joined because my library was very small and I didn't have my filesystem figured out yet so I was sharing the wrong folders.

Also on my end, when I have a download queued for weeks or sometimes months, and the user never seems to log in, that can be frustrating. But I'm like you I don't have my computer on 24/7, just try to be available when I can and have my whole music folder available for sharing, haven't gotten any complaints yet.

  • I'm not sure about question 1, but I think the answer is yes, you do need to be logged in to share unless you have some other setup going on like a dedicated server or something. I just use it on my PC and try to leave it on when I can, but nobody ever seems to download from me, haha.

    1. I use a VPN, haven't had any issues or had to configure anything for it specifically.
    2. I do use nicotine+ (also on Linux) because I had some issues with the actual program downloaded from their website. Not sure what it was because I didn't really try to fix it after I found out about Nicotine+. It works great.
  • Those spaces are overrun by bots, so have fun fighting against a never ending army of CPUs that doesn't sleep. I am going to protect my sanity and not give them my time and energy (which equals their money).

  • Everyone should stop going to churches, synagogues, mosques, the church of latter day saints, and scientology. But the FOMO and fear of eternal damnation is too strong. It's too bad, if they could just realize that everything is god including themselves, they could live happier more fulfilling lives in like a week.

  • Yeah, everyone should stop using Instagram, Facebook, threads, reddit, tik tok. But the FOMO is too strong. It's too bad, if they did it would fix most of their problems in like a week.

  • So you're saying all of the OB/Gyns in abortion ban states should give up their license and likely go to prison thereby leaving all pregnant patients without care?

    Nope, I didn't say that.

I'm saying these people should operate by the oath they made to do no harm. I'm saying I wish someone would take a stand and help someone that needs it, so they don't just sit there and die for no good reason.

If they lose their license and go to jail for helping someone, then the laws are truly unjust and should not be followed. Maybe it would bring more attention to this shit instead of just letting people die, having our institutions not report it, and only a small handful of people ever seeing this article. Maybe there would be a lot more articles about the doctor that got arrested for saving someone's life. And if people can't get the care from that physician that was arrested for saving someone's life, that is the state's problem. It's not the Doctors fault for sticking to the words they swore everyone they would live by. Maybe something would happen instead of everyone just sitting idly by and letting shit keep getting worse. Maybe one Doctor inspires more Doctors to do the same. They can't arrest all the Doctors.

If I was a doctor in one of these states, I would absolutely risk my career for this. Wouldn't you? It is cowardice not to. If they want to arrest all the Doctors and cause the rest to flee the state, leaving their citizens vulnerable, that is the state's fault for pushing this archaic bullshit down our throats. They should have thought of the consequences before passing laws telling doctors to stop giving people healthcare! In my opinion, doctors being scared to lose their licenses and just letting people die instead shouldn't be doctors anymore.

  • I had a brief phase on Instagram where I followed some flat earthers, and there did seem to be kind of a range of beliefs on it. There were the ones that would use pseudoscience to debate people, and then it would go kind of in a scale from that, to people using examples from scripture about the firmament and how God made the earth flat and NASA has been trying to hide God from the world and it's only 3462 years old or some shit like that.

    It was weirdly interesting.

  • Is even this politicized?

The answer is yes. They are treating ours and our children's lives as nothing more than pawns.

And of course, when the Republicans do heinous shit, they also make sure to shut down or suppress the institutions that are responsible for keeping track of and reporting this information. All so they can have a few more of those green papers and have enough plausible deniability to not disgust their base into turning against them.

Fuck these people. And fuck the doctors too that follow these bullshit laws they know are morally wrong. Just fucking sitting on their hands and letting people fucking die for no good reason. I hope they never get good sleep for the rest of their lives, knowing they could and should have done more.

  • And Republicans will see nothing wrong with this, because the woke mind virus must be defeated by any means necessary. And when it's defeated, and only then, we can hAve our freedoms back. It's just a little sacrifice, for the greater good is all.
