  • The original .ml posted meme? Tankies believe Russia is justified in invading Ukraine because the Ukraine government was overthrown by the US and they installed Nazis and Russia is "freeing" the Ukrainian people and stopping "US colonialism".

    The meme is just a continuation of that saying that based on past US lies they're lying about Ukraine not being "full of Nazis" or a "US controlled regime"

  • I got one last year, replaced a shitty old school electric coil one.

    Similarly, I was kinda skeptical, but in my mind I reasoned it can't be possibly worse than the shit electric one I had at the time and I'm not going to pay to have a gas line installed sooo I went with it.

    It's the best fucking stove I've ever cooked on in my life. By a LONG shot.

    I can watch a pot of water boil
    Oil is up to temp faster than you can turn around and grab your meat and seasonings
    Almost-magic fast temp adjustments

    The best part? You know those black burned on crud spots(that are most prevalent on glass tops) that you have to scrape off? Non existent. Idk if its unique to Samsung, but it's surface is fucking dead easy to clean, it never got the burned on crap after a year when I've had new stoves in the past develop it in a matter of weeks

    Hexbear and lemmygrad will always be blocked and PieFed is coded to block them by default on all new instances (admins can change it). No plans to defederate lemmy.ml as I've built mod tools that help me find the most odious users & banned them and now it's tolerable. lemy.lol is blocked because of it's fascist logo. That's about it.

    (admins can change it).

    If you can't toggle it, then your setup is busted in some way

    How does an admin of another instance make that choice for you? If instance A starts going crazy on the blocklist, then Instance B can choose to no longer subscribe to As blocklist

  • If a user wants to see that, they are free to make an account on the triad themselves, admins should not have to platform their toxicity and misinformation.

    And it's also toxic to user uptake in general, a Threadiverse veteran will know what to block, a brand new user on the cusp of breaking from Big Tech social media won't.
