I got a new PC a couple months ago, mostly for gaming, and I knew I wanted an immutable distro after hearing about the immutable gaming distros. I went with Kinoite since I have plenty of daily driver stuff I still need to do.
So far, the only big issue I've had was figuring out a way to access apps and a desktop for work that I could only get access with the Windows RDP client and a smart card. Eventually, after a lot of digging through docs I was able to work it out by setting up a Windows VM jump box in Virtual Machine Manager with a few additional command line arguments.
Otherwise, no issues at all. The most tweaking I've had to do to launch a game so far was picking a different version of Proton.
I grew up agnostic/atheist in the Bible Belt. There was a lot of casual discrimination, ostracism, and judgement if you weren't Christian. Even among different churches. I'd have loved for there have been more Christians like you, but unfortunately the TV/Fox News Christians are all over the place down there.
Remember a few years ago when people died after a snow storm in Texas because lawmakers largely ignored recommendations to winterize their shitty private power grid? Hold these people accountable.
This whole practice, among other things, is so shitty that I decided to not get a Switch 2, having had every Nintendo console since the NES.
But it's important to make the distinction between disabling and bricking. It may seem like a technicality, but that's the kind of thing that'll get a lawsuit dismissed. Not that I have any faith in that process anyway.
