  • Yeah but there was still hope that Ukraine could win the war. Now, we will basically need a mass evacuation, because the U.S. isn’t just going to stop support. Russia is going to start receiving a bunch of classified intelligence about Ukrainian positions, they’ll have far easier access to funds, hell Trump might just start selling them weapons.

Things have been bad, they are going to get catastrophic. While Ukrainians have been integrating pretty well, there are also a lot of far-right populists in Europe who are beginning to use them as scapegoats. These groups are probably Russian-backed, and again, they’ll have more money. They will capitalize on the influx of refugees with more hateful rhetoric.

  • You’re missing a very, very key component.

In the U.S., voting is fucking hard. If you’re a low-income working class stiff, it is a serious challenge to set time aside to get registered and go to the polls. You can receive a mail-in ballot, but as many Americans learned this season, there are additional complications that can occur with those regarding registration and delivery. There are a lot of barriers to participating in the democratic process, and if your candidate isn’t willing to motivate people to push through that bullshit and vote anyway, then you can’t be surprised when a bunch of people don’t want to put in the effort to get them elected.

The system is so much more flawed than you’ve even imagined.

No they don’t, that’s just lies the Dems keep repeating.

Progressive issues are overwhelmingly popular in the U.S. Exit interviews and polling shows that in the key swing states, ignoring progressive issues is what made voters dissatisfied with Harris. If they had let Harris run a progressive campaign, I think it is very likely they could have won.

The only two agendas the Dems are pulled between are the agendas of their corporate donors who don’t care if they win, and a progressive agenda that could actually win them elections. They overwhelmingly choose their corporate donors every time, and then hope progressives will keep them in office because they have no other choice.
