  • Project 2025 is an absolutely vile, evil plan. But don't make shit up; you're not doing anything constructive to fight them by telling outright lies.

  • Sure, why not? I can use a new brother.

    ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • I generally overshoot when it comes to the hardware specs, if I can. That way you're prepared in advance if you end up having the option to upgrade your Internet connection.

Otherwise, you may find yourself locked in to the slower plan due to the cost of upgrading your hardware.

But, sometimes you have to choose realistic over optimal, of course. So in other words, I do not think I know what's best for you! Just offering a perspective that has worked for me, in case it helps you in some way as you evaluate the choice that's best for you.

  • I used to hear my dad repeat Faux talking points about how "gerrymandering isn't even real" or some BS. It's been so tempting to throw it back in his face - but I know that won't be worth my time, so why bother.

  • Just curious, but in exactly what way is not already on complete control?

  • I don't know, I mean if any corporation can eat the loss, it's apple with their insanely high margins.

I'm more inclined to believe there's some form of quid pro quo going on behind the scenes.

Besides, I simply cannot picture Tim Apple as any kind of a hero in this picture. No way he got bullied. He's getting something out of it. You scratch my back. I'll scratch yours.

  • You know what keeps me up at night? Democrats get elected into power and just leave shit all broken. I mean, sorry to say but that is the pattern we've seen from them for decades now.

Now, please don't get me wrong, I am NOT saying "both sides same, blah blah". I just don't really believe there's anyone in the Capitol who is actually fighting for me anymore, save perhaps a tiny few who have no realistic chance to help. Not Bernie's fault they fucked him over, for example, and I have mad respect for him. But one man, maybe one or two allies, standing in front of this wave of irrational hatred? We're fucked.

  • Also, if you actually to want to die, you don't to be found and rescued, so in your cell or somewhere else your gonna not be noticed.

So, yeah. Also, a guy that has all those stolen cards is motivated as hell to run that many cons. Not to mention the way suicide would stain family honor for most oriental cultures.

    Etc,etc...

  • OMG. Yeah, I'm leaving that just the way it is!!

  • Maybe. Or maybe not.

There was no explanation as to how they eliminated any possibility of foul play. Just a mention of a handwritten note, and the assurances of fascists that there is no reason to suspect them.

It just seems, I dunno, fishy. Shower room instead of in his cell, for instance. But either way there's not really any way to prove it. It's just i guess the first thing in my mind was they cornered him in the shower area, and quickly scribbled down a success note knowing there will not ever be even an investigation. But I'm making plenty of assumptions, so...

Very tragic. Another senseless casualty to this hate filled movement by fuckers who can't handle being afraid of the fact that they don't actually matter in this world. 🤬🤮

  • The analogy makes a lot of sense to me. Once you have an "easy button", it's hard to not use it. It's sort of like when you're at work and see the "quick workaround" effectively become the standard process.

Or when you're diving somewhere, and drivers thinking there's an "easy button" gets people killed.

The point, I think, is that society seems to encourage "what can I get away with" while discouraging any consideration of "what should I do". Which, well, seems pretty ass-backwards don't you think?

Then again, we've never truly removed from power the progeny of those that decided beating the shit out of someone else was preferable to doing their fair share of the labor. "But what if someone tries to kick your ass? Then you'll be glad I'm here."

Uhh, like fucking hell I will. That kind of sociopathic fuckery has always been, and will always be, nothing but a drain on the collective effort of any society.

Tldr: I totally agree with you

Oh, and as an aside, part of me kinda hates that Re-Logic added "Journey Mode" to Terraria; I haven't put any significant time into even one classic mode playthrough since.

  • Every action taken by our President Tiny Dick is, in a word, shit. However, amongst a stinking pile of nothing but shit, this one stinks to high heaven. It's a well known fact we get charging fucking way too much for anything healthcare related, especially pharmaceuticals. And now we're even more fucked. All because everyone in the world knows that of all the world leaders that have ever lived, or will live, his dick is by far the tiniest. 🤬🤮

Edit: Please don't make me eat (more) shit, btw! I mean, c'mon, just look at how much shit this jackass is forcing down our throats already. 😔

  • Heck, Minnesota had something similar this year, and the Republicans still tied to pass multiple things without quorum. Dems got it all thrown out in court, though.

  • Ah, so if you receive SNAP and drink, you must be an alcoholic? Cause if you only drank socially, you wouldn't be poor?

  • How about a frag grenade ¯(ツ)

  • All 6s users hey a warning you might be affected. They give you a link you have to follow to check. Load the page, you're in your IMEI and it will confirm if you're affected

  • Generational wealth is an area where this money hoarding really, really goes wrong, because then it's lifetime after lifetime of the accumulation and hoarding of wealth. So obviously one change I would strongly support is extremely high tax on inheritance income.

But we need to separate money from wealth, I think. Because if it takes all of us working together to generate that wealth in the first place, there is simply no possible excuse for not sharing that wealth equitably. As long as money=wealth, I'm just not sure we'll ever really accomplish that, though.

  • Well, not so much "accused" as "caught red handed during a board meeting". But okay.
