Literally this.
This is very cool. I, however, enjoy being the weird one. I wish I could push a block of cheese through my face to eat it.
A classic. So many questions arise from this simple text+image post:
We will never have all the answers. Still, the questions are themselves a sort of answer.
AAAAH!! Yes, that makes sense, thank you~
I don’t understand what this means.
Our saviour, the last bastion.
I just see as a sign it’s never gonna work. Not under Elon, not X. He’s a megalomaniac idiot…
And I don’t see how it’s “unethical” either. It’s annoying, rude, stupid, ridiculous, shitty, sure. But unethical? They didn’t promise anything, they even gave some compensation even though they didn’t need to, right? Ethics isn’t even objective so I just don’t think that’s remotely meaningful, what ethical boundary are they overstepping? “To forcibly change someone’s social media handle is unethical”?
IDK, just don’t use Twitter!! I guess I just don’t see this as a big issue because I think Twitter is dumb, I suppose if you use the app a lot… IDK.
I mean, it’s their app. Sure it’s shitty, but at the end of the day it’s just a username. IDK. A minor inconvenience at most.
But what did he do? I’m not very tuned into everything that happened. Did he commit sexual assault or not? If they can’t charge him, I’d assume that means they can’t prove he did it right? OFC that doesn’t mean he actually didn’t, but I don’t see why anyone should “socially punish” him over something you don’t even know if he did or not, and something that he was found not guilty of.
I don’t mean for this sound like sexual assault apologia or something, I just really don’t understand the situation very well and trying to look this up online all I see is that he was accused and then found not guilty.
Damn, I feel like his name’s been dragged through the mud these past few years. Not sure what the details of this whole thing are, but if the verdict is “Not Guilty” I guess that’s that.
You know it’s crazy when they go the extra mile to get the fucking exclamation point
Well that’s still the same point though. Lemmy and the fediverse are all about rejecting the authority of centralized services/social media.
I’m a bit confused by the links in your post’s text and comments. The link should be !2meirl4meirl@kbin.social right?
The issue with large scale marketing is that it can be rather expensive.
Anyone can learn to code and contribute to Lemmy’s codebase, just like anyone can learn marketing. The difference is that it’s not so easy to, say, buy ad-space, get deals with content creators, etc.
Lemmy’s design, however, can be done by web designers, and it is done by web designers/designers, in part at least. For example, Lemmy.world’s icon was made by a regular user. That’s part of marketing I think (?).
YUP!! I was on the same boat, but it’s 100% worth the hype. It’s an absolutely incredible movie!!!
I thought his first name was Fart?
