Fuck yeah. I’m in support of that. I’d like to stop both hostile land grabs, Ukraine, and the West Bank. Cutting off US support beyond weapons for Israel too until they back off the West Bank and negotiate legitimately for the release of hostages.

Two birds, one stone. They need missiles, and we need less Russian Cyber Threats. I see this as an absolute win. Plus a few extra missiles in a barrage attack would overload their defenses and make it more likely various attacks are successful.

I support giving Ukraine longer range missles and a few extras and just maybe dropping a map with the Russian cyber warfare centers circled. That solves our problem and their problem.

You’re not paying enough attention if you think Trump winning means “too bad the rest of the world will feel the consequences.” Germany just elected their first far right government since WWII, France had a massive right wing that is now in the EU council, Austria… well they keep making shitty right wing choices, down into South America Argentina shifted right, and other countries continue to do so as well. We’re not special or alone in this.

The freedom to live in a tent and shit into the sewer system that feeds the water supply is the same level of freedom that gives me a right to kill people without repercussions. Sometimes limitations on “freedoms” are acceptable because society has a structure. They can choose to live outside of that society, but they clearly enjoy living in places like LA… so they have a choice. Either accept somewhere to live and get out of the streets, or leave society as a whole.

Mate, there isn’t enough time or words to even delve into this with you, but that’s not what morality is. Whether you agree with the current rules and legal system or not is not part of your morals when you’re simply stating the options legally.

More importantly imo: it put Biden and the Dems in the news and overshadowed the attempted assassination. Which kept its new cycle short and put the dems back on top. Trump hates being out of the news, and was right that the media wants him back because they loved the numbers he provided. The DNC should make a circus out of this to keep it in the news and with constant breaking news events. It’s stupid, and I hate it, but it would help them win.

They aren’t morally wrong. Just because something is a fact that they’re stating doesn’t mean they agree with it. Those are the rules of the game and they’re simply stating them.

While I’m not the OP you’re replying to I definitely think Harris is going to be unpopular. The problem isn’t winning over city democrats, it’s winning over Joe Schmo in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Those people are the ones I worry about whether they’ll vote for a minority female candidate and they’re unfortunately the ones whose vote counts. This late in the game, I think the best course of action would have been running some stale white guy that mid westerners could more easily swallow. Though time will only tell and November is quickly approaching.

Also, is Harris’ politics popular… because last time I checked she was a former prosecutor and a lot of people here on Lemmy were upset about a “cop” being elected to office. She doesn’t seem to have an opinion/political belief.

He isn’t polling high enough for Americans to spend the money. For people that love to talk about fiscal accountability this is a major waste of tax payer money.

All countries have their crazies. Currently we’re seeing a wave of said crazy minority rising up (Duterte, Bolsonaro, AfD, Mussolini, RN). Sometimes we become so complacent as a people that we forget these kinds of ideologies exist. So they fester and attract others. Hopefully this time we don’t have to fight a war to top it and can change the tides peacefully.
