  • This user unfortunately is not concerned with safety, yet. By the time they are I hope they aren't in serious legal trouble.

  • America 😂 it's at least theoretically possible to avoid American companies outside of America. In practice, you're certainly correct.

  • I fully support Putin's desire to live forever. Let's encourage him and all other billionaires to start with a young brain transplant.

  • Actually rich people do this, it's called Young Blood Transfusion.

  • Not everyone, just Americans and other surveillance states. I have no idea about Canada but probably you too.

  • Downvotes are for your attitude on privacy.

VPNs are not a tool for piracy, they are a tool for privacy. Everyone should have a VPN like Mullvad/Proton or use Tor/I2P if they don't want their private Internet searches uploaded to the US government to be scanned and scrutinized at will, and possibly sold and publicized, even criminalized. That goes for non Americans too.

Debrid is not a private solution. Privacy is expensive and inconvenient. Your ISP is the least of your worries. You absolutely should be paying for Debrid anonymously and using a VPN in front if you're doing anything illegal, so then what's the point? Downloading copyrighted material is illegal as well.

Not blaming you though, Debrid is being very, very disingenuous in its marketing.

"We may be required to disclose Users personal data in order to protect our legal rights or where disclosure of Users personal data's are required of us by the judicial authorities only when legal procedures are followed."

They probably get legal disclosure requests daily. You are surely on an NSA shortlist of some kind.

  • I don't know, never seen it but I have an open mind. The burden of proof is on the claimant, that is you. The default position is "I don't know", not yes or no. Your question, "yes or no" is known as a false dichotomy, a logical fallacy that is not convincing to me.

I claim there is a teacup flying around Saturn. Do you believe there is a teacup around Saturn without evidence? If you answer "no" do you need prove it? What proof do you require from me to believe the claim?

  • I meant more like, AI is the future but it may be of limited use right now.

  • If someone said this in 1970 it would be just as true as you saying it today. Would you have used generative AI tools for video game development back then?

  • I did my own research and found nothing along the lines of what you're saying, sorry. Unless you provide a news article source we have literally no idea what you're talking about and none of us are convinced of what you're saying.

  • You wouldn't steal a salary

  • Professional software engineer here. Those things are not easy and even seniors in my field (and myself, ex-top-tech) get tripped up on it and ask for help. Docker and self-hosting is an entire subspecialty (e.g. devops). Be gentle on yourself and don't put yourself down. By struggling with Linux you are doing immense good for the open source community. "Step by step guides" not likely given the wide array of issues you could run into. If you know a technically strong person, buy them lunch and watch them walk through your problems for an hour. You'll either learn something or feel validated that they're struggling too. Keep at it and thanks!

  • Oh they'll hire non-white people. As long as they are white supremacists they won't discriminate.

  • Republicunts.

  • Source?

  • It's because the word migrant makes no assumption on their intention. We only know they were migrating. We have no idea if they are immigrating or returning, or visiting temporarily. It's not politically correct, it's literally correct.

I am a college-educated liberal. On behalf of all our kind, I hereby officially grant news outlets and "other people" lifetime permission to use the word "immigrant" whenever someone is immigrating, e.g. because they have said they are doing so.

  • Realistic compromise solution: Apple charges UK government for user data. Everyone is happy and users eat up "your privacy matters" like flies on horseshit.

  • It's relevant because it's proof the case was fucked with and we can throw out any evidence collected as tampered with and let this rando Luigi guy free. We know when we're being fucked with.
