very bad, sadly
very bad, sadly
installed Linux Mint on various apple macbooks i got second hand and the battery life is abysmal.
the witcher 3 is great It shows short sentences but Geralt doesn’t exactly say that and usually develops a little more. If you are impatient, you can choose a simple sentence and skip the talking without losing the general meaning. You can also listen to the whole thing.
I don’t think a 10 million dollar yacht, be it electric, diesel or diesel powered, is anywhere near a reasonable compromise
TL;DR electric $10M yachts aren’t good for the environment ; not building any yacht at all is the best answer
No ! it’s because $10 million yachts for billionnaires are of course not good for the environment ! It’s greenwashing ! “well yeah i’m a billionnaire and i run an ecocidal megacorporation but look : my luxury superyacht is electric !” i’m baffled that people could ever think this is a good way to mitigate the climate crisis
you must be joking right someone tell me i’m not getting the /s
don’t get me wrong, human doctors (humans in general actually) have a lot of problems and it would be great to have some kind of AI assistance for diagnosis or management. But I don’t think generative AI like chatGPT is actual AI : it’s a probabilistic algorithm that spits out the word most likely to be after the last one it wrote, based on the material it was trained on. I don’t think we need a doctor like that.
That’s interesting but never forget the difference between exams and real life is huge. Exam test cases are always sorta typical clinical presentations, every small element pointing towards the general picture.
In real life, there are almost always discrepancies, elements that don’t make sense at all for the given case, and the whole point of getting some residency experience is to be able to know what to make out of those contradictory elements. When to question nonsensical lab values. What to do when a situation doesn’t belong in any category of problems you learned to solve.
Many things i think generative AI, due to its generative nature of predicting what word is most likely to come next based on learned data, wouldn’t be able to do
well that’s just greenwashing. Along with techno-solutionnism it’s the next step right after denial for these people. 1. pretend there isn’t a problem, 2. when 1. doesn’t work anymore, pretend younre going to solve it
TBF you can also pretty know the temperature from thousands of years ago somehow accurately by analysing ice from the polar caps
those promises don’t constrain them in any way other than PR. They can promise anything they like and are completely free to do whatever they want after that
They’re not literally lying, but presenting the information in a biased way
i’d be fine with it if they presented it like this. But they don’t, they aren’t honest about the actual (very moderate) sustainability they offer
Mandatory Dishonored 1 and 2 recommendation, but Prey is also very good
The game doesn’t really want you to spare enemies. It’s just that there are 3 different ways to play the game and 3 different flavors of the story : low, mid and high chaos. I think you should feel free to massacre everyone, and then maybe start over a new game and try lower chaos !
I’m neck deep into Highfleet right now. It’s only 2 years old, but on sale at 15€ I feel it’s worth it. If you like Dune and diesel/steam punk, that game is for you. It’s far from perfect, but it’s a raw diamond imo.
Same here with Vivaldi.
My problem with FP isn’t only that their phone lacks in features and sustainability. It’s that their whole PR and marketing is misleading. They hold back a lot of essential information to trick the customer into thinking that the phone is good for the environment. I would be more enclined to support them if they were honest about it ; right now it looks like corporate BS intended to make a maximal profit, like any other phone company
Old Intel crapbook air from 2013 or 2015. The battery life wasn’t ever great, but it significantly diminished when i changed them to linux. I expected an increase…
