  • Walmart music will always be dull and milquetoast; its meant to be consumed by the nonexistant "perfectly normal" person. You gotta dig for that gnarly hipster shit you're into, but I guarantee its out there somewhere

  • My players had spent months finding the combination for a fortified vault door, and finally return to the cave they orignally found the door. Just as the champion begins entering the combination, the wizard realized the party had since leveled a few times, and disintegrate was in her exploration shortlist of prepared spells

nobody was happy about that in the moment, hehe

  • How useful would this have been back at the dawn of computation, I wonder?

  • Re: oracle

Being a divine spontaneous caster fucks; your entire spell list is Heal if you need it, and literally anything else if you don't. And trading a spell/day and slightly smaller repertoire for some extra durability is generally worth it in my experience.

Also Divine Access means you can pretty much pick whatever spells you want, and more as more gods come out or you and your GM make some more.

I liked the focus spells more back when battle oracles weren't hit with the nerf bat and could literally just be the juggernaut whenever they got cursed

  • Hve linux nerds invented a new OS for phones yet? I think I'm gonna need one

  • Symbols can work if you're desperate. Like, just depict Malbad Von Sinister with a skull token. Sometimes it might work even better than a visual depiction if you want your PCs to imagine the guy instead

  • I'm about to start EX mode in Void Stranger. The method to unlock it and the tail puzzle are the only two solutions I've just looked up for this game because holy shit do I not have the time for that lol.

Good game, with the exception of those two puzzles specifically

  • Vote democrat then. They're a bunch of conservatives anyway, so there should be no problem for someone like this.

  • Ok but will vergil be able to do judgement cuts though? This is important

  • The only things I know about Lancer are this very specific style of memes and that kill six billion demons rules. Is it any good as a game?

  • ??? Do they think people will just... forget?

  • I can play all of my games (well, the ones my 10 year old craptop can handle). The only issue I have is that vulkan shaders can take a minute to cache for some games.

  • sometimes you just wanna know what to splice to finish your gardening collection instead of brute forcing every single combination of the 40+ plants that exist until you learn that grapes and oats grafted together make elderberries or something weird like that.

  • Uh, um... I do not like how I have to install microsoft fonts seperately to have times new roman on my resume?

  • It all boils down to how willing you are to troubleshoot an odd problem or post on a linux nerd forum. I transitioned from win10 to fedora KDE pretty painlessly, though I did have to hit up the fedora forum for an answer to a weird hardware issue specific to my machine. Learning to use the command line for doing a few weird customizations I wanted was a bit of a stumble too (though I've heard from my mint using buddy this isn't an issue on Mint?)

My steam library works fine with the default proton option enabled and my day to day experience has me forgetting that I'm even on a weirdo operating system made by FOSS cultists (love you foss cultists, mwah.) I literally do just press a button every couple of weeks that updates the system in the way that you're looking for.

  • That's not what the detective said. He SAID "I want to have fuck with you"

  • Toxicology got some buffs in the remaster that let them morph poison damage to acid if its favorable, iirc

  • I miss prestige classes. Actually no I don't they're implemented in the form of archetypes (Dragon Disciple's actually kinda handy for some builds unlike in 1e), I just miss the idea of prestige classes.

  • And yet, human fighter with basic sword and shield feats is still just as satisfying as day 1 :)

edit: Fuck, can I just gush about fighters in PF2e for a sec? Paizo really nailed the "boring normal" class, just by virtue of having them be slightly more accurate in combat - thereby boosting both crit rate for first swings, and offsetting the multi-attack penalty for followup swings. I've never had more fun dropping normal attacks in a ttrpg because each swing was just that much more likely to drop a juicy crit, followed up by a knockdown proc from choosing to be a hammer specialist or a pindown from being a bow specialist, etc. You then have a bunch of action condensers from your feats (which you can actually swap out on a day to day basis if you're so inclined) to do your cool normal attacks more often in a dynamic combat. And reactive strike at level 1 practically doubles your normal attack output right out of the gate if your cool pancake horfing teammates futz with some magic or wrestling bullshit to knock enemies prone.

    Normal attacks fucking rule.
