And it’s doing it for around 0,05% of the price. (~$250 billion adjusted for inflation for Apollo 1 vs ~$120 million for IM-1)
Damn it’s cozy here.
I wear Lemmygrad downvotes as a badge of honor.

Until now I was pretty sure it’s only useful if you run systemd-networkd since you would disable NetworkManager.
Benefits would be a more lean network setup with less memory usage and dependencies.
Can’t speak on how Ubuntu does things
Yup I’m experiencing issues too. I can still boot, but after some time processes start dying

Let me be the Linux evangelist here and say: consider AMD for GPU, they aren’t bad.

I didn’t mean to offend. But what’s a minor spoiler for some might be a major spoiler for others, which is the case for the OP. It’d be pretty sad to miss out on the “when it hits”-moment

Well I guess knowledge is power, and power is kinda fun. There’s a reason many people say this game is special.
If you don’t feel the game right now, that’s ok, you can keep it on your list for later. But please avoid spoilers like the plague.

ESA’s PILOT-D navigation demonstration camera was planned to be flown on this mission, but is already being procured from a commercial service provider and will fly along with them on their mission,[27] due to continued international collaboration having been thrown into doubt by the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and related sanctions on Russia.[28][29] The demonstrative instrument was supposed to collect data for the landing of other missions and was therefore not part of the probe’s operating system.[30]
Doesn’t sound like it was a critical part of the mission.
Sauce?
Actually they reinvented the wheel a little bit by being the first spacecraft that used cryogenic propellant for a multi day mission/moon landing. When you look into it, what they’ve achieved is still very impressive, even if NASA did much of the heavy lifting.
