  • Two things are different: Other presidents were smart enough not to publicly and personally associate themselves with something like this.

    And more importantly, other presidents didn't rile the whole world up against them, but were mostly nice and forgiving, so other countries were more inclined to ignore these incidents.

  • I actually started playing chrono trigger because of threads like this, but stopped playing close to the end because I wanted to do all the side quest but didn't have the time to try things out and also played with a lot of breaks so I forgot a lot of things and therefore I started to look things up online but then it became tedious and also felt like cheating and now I can't even motivate myself to finish it even though I am probably missing out on the best part of it.

  • The soundtrack of red alert 2 is the only one I ever deliberately listened to outside of a game.

    I second What Remains of Edith Finch, but funny? I couldn't see that. One of the few games that made me cry and it gave a lasting impression. I played it shortly after the birth of my first son though. The bathtub scene and the ending hit really hard.

  • Ha! I watched him play Outer Wilds and it was perfect. It is the ideal game for someone like him because this game is all about exploring. But please play the game before you watch him play and don't research anything beforehand or during playing.

  • I think so too, but I am really curious what will happen when we give them "bodies" with sensors so they can explore the world and make individual "experiences". I could imagine they would act much more human after a while and might even develop some kind of sentience.

    Of course they would also need some kind of memory and self-actualization processes.

  • I once gave some kind of math problem (how to break down a certain amount of money into bills) and the llm wrote a python script for it, ran it and thus gave me the correct answer. Kind of clever really.
