Hell, even if you can easily afford way more than that, you are still closer to the person who can only afford $2 of food a day than a billionaire.

There’s only one grocery store in my city that bakes a specific type of bread from my home country. I make sure to buy 2 packs almost every week so they notice that they are being bought and don’t stop making them.
It’s crazy how an incredibly huge tsunami was sloshing around for 9 days and no one was able to trace and find it fast enough to capture any video.
Just in time, as I’m working on a new EP. lol. Subbed!
Tilda because you can roll it down from the top of your screen with one key press.
Ok the push notification pop up started to piss me off halfway down lol. But yeah, this is a cool demonstration.
Like the “Come to Brazil!” comments on every music video or concert on youtube.
Yeah, this is isn’t a “new level” of incoherence, it’s always been like that. It’s just being amplified more now that his opponent isn’t having age-related issues.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Glad I held back from suggesting Firefish for my wife. I’ve been slowly trying to convince her to jump to the fediverse for microblogging and figured to have her try Firefish simply because it’s prettier than Mastodon. Guess it’s back to ol’ Mastodon.
Plan? Just do it.
The only barrier to entry is creating a usb installer. Once you’re past that, there’s nothing more than basic computer knowledge to do what you need to do. By basic, I mean knowing how to use a computer, so you should be good. Just choose a user friendly distro like Mint and you won’t need to open the terminal at all unless something really bad happens.
My condolences to the people who have to install it to write an article about it.
FWIW, this was debunked when CMG originally made the claim. It was a marketing guy overselling their product and they had to correct their statement. They use the same info data brokers collect, and phones actively listening to you is not true.
Not directed at you specifically, but it’s the same with IT and dev people but with security/privacy.
I was actually surprised Netflix took this on given some themes and scenes can be considered controversial today. So I’m cautiously optimistic because I feel like they might change some of it to tone it down.
Lol and the two biggest are close in color as well. At least make those two clear distinct colors.
Both links are paywalled, but if I’m remembering correctly, that company (CMG) eventually had to correct their claim that phones were actively listening to everything you say. It was an overzealous marketing guy trying to oversell. They admitted in the end that they use the same info that data brokers have on you based on data gathered from your browsing and other activity, not from actively listening to you.
Siri for example is designed in a way where it “listens” for your voice to call it, but that mechanism is completely separate from the actual Siri that connects to the internet to understand you.
Oh my, I haven’t had brazo de mercedes in over a decade (or more even). I’ll have to see if I can buy one anywhere in my area.
