I’m now spending 90% of my shit scrolling time here instead of Reddit (using Sync mainly) and I love it!
Memmy is working really well on the iPad as well and the enhancements you mention make a lot of sense. I use an Android phone and am switching between Liftoff and Sync at the moment.
10 years overall for me. I still browse some niche subreddits by RSS only and no longer comment or vote.
All of these providers need to cease operating in the UK - it makes no sense to compromise security for the rest of the world just because one country wants to make it easier to spy on citizens.
How about a partner and a local - Belts and Suspenders, and you only get one two-week shot at this.
That was my first thought - Is he still alive? He must be 110 by now.
I’m absolutely loving Memmy and impressed how far it has come in just a few weeks. Same for Liftoff which I use on my Android phone.
Liftoff is pretty good. I use Memmy on my iPad and Liftoff on my Android phone and it’s a pretty good match.
Yes, I am not sure who this is targeted to exactly - there are so many better ways to consume podcasts and the other content they mention, for less money, or free in many cases. I had purchased Pocket Casts years ago before they went free, then sold out to PBS, was still free, and now this - seems like just dying to piece together a business model that’s is doomed to fail (again).
No thank you. I’m perfectly happy with Podcast Addict.
My feedback is that it would be great if these buttons were spread out some - I sometimes have trouble selecting them with my sausage fingers.
Thanks for such a great application!
Very happy to be part of this community - feels like home to me!
I think you’ll find there’s lots of us over 50 types on here 🙂
Just set up an account on a reputable server (I picked Universeadon) and search for hashtags that interest you (#linux, #hiking, etc) then start following people that share those interests. I’ve been on since last year and like it very much.
For apps, I use Mona on my iPad and Fedilab on my Android phone and recommend both of those.
I’m sorry, but any mod that gets a message threatening them like that and stays on has zero self respect. It’s a volunteer job for god’s sake!
That looks delicious and the cast iron skillet is a nice touch.
I switched from Evernote to Joplin several years ago and haven’t looked back. I had over 8,000 notes in Evernote and now have over 11,000 notes in Joplin. I’m using free Dropbox storage for syncing (3GB out of 6GB free) and run Windows, iPad and Android clients. I haven’t missed Evernote at any point.
Same with me. I haven’t deleted my Reddit account yet, but will be doing that soon, after I delete or overwrite my comments of 10 years there.
Between Lemmy, Kbin and Mastodon, I have plenty to keep me occupied in what used to be my Reddit-scrolling time.
Aha, it finally showed up - took a while after I uninstalled the beta. I assume this is the same version as the previous TestFlight version? Looks to be about 3 months since the last update - I’m trying it now - sadly had to start from scratch.
