Yeah, my answer was worded badly. The 7900 XTX is in use on a Linux system since day 1 and the experience is flawless now.
One of the 7800 XTXs is actually in use on a Windows 10 system atm, but I’ve only been using that one for about a week now. I own the 7900 XTX since launch and it’s been pretty much flawless since about two months after launch.
I own two 7800 XTs and a 7900 XTX, they all perform great on linux, I’m very happy with AMD this generation.
There are many Matrix Clients that don’t run on Electron on Desktop.
Afaik Telegram desktop does use Electron so I assumed we were talking about mobile.
EDIT: Telegram desktop does in fact not use Electron.
Electron does run on Android, see Element Android or Discord for example. I thought we were talking about mobile.
Signal, Whatsapp and many Matrix Clients including the new Element X are not Electron based afaik
Happy new year to you too! :)
Thank you again, just replaced my PSU and my issue is fixed now. Never buying from be quiet! again.
Well, you kinda answered your own question. Wanna play on the go, go for the switch version. Don’t really need the game on the go, go for the PS5 version.
Thank you for trying to help. I’m not running Windows though (as written in my post) and most of those things don’t apply to me.
I already tried to run my RAM without XMP.
I don’t have any other overclocks.
I just got amazon to give me a return label, I’ve generally been quite unsatisfied with be quiet! (their fans also kinda suck) and I’ve ordered a new PSU. Will report back if that fixes my issue.

Running games with 100% GPU load for hours doesn’t trigger my issue. Reencoding a video with all CPU cores while running a game doesn’t trigger it either. It’s just Hell Let Loose that causes it to turn off and only after the second launch of the game since reinstalling it. When using a fresh install and playing for hours I don’t encounter any issues. Restarting the game once after that triggers my issue.
PC still boots after resetting the CMOS but the issue isn’t fixed either.
My PSU is a little over a year old.
Running GTA V for hours with 100% GPU usage doesn’t trigger my issue. Reencoding a video with all cores while running GTA V doesn’t either. It only happens after launching Hell Let Loose for a second time after reinstalling the game. When using a fresh install, I can play it for hours without any issue. My problem only appears when launching it again afterwards.
My BIOS is already up-to-date, I just reset my BIOS settings and it didn’t help. I guess, I’ll just wait. Not being able to play Hell Let Loose isn’t that big of a deal for me, I just don’t like the thought of my PC being kinda broken.
Wow, really? I didn’t find many related issues when searching online. Would you mind to link a few threads? Thank you :)
I don’t think that’s it. Running GTA V for hours with 100% GPU usage doesn’t trigger my issue. It only happens after launching Hell Let Loose for a second time after reinstalling the game.
