  • For most people it won't matter, they just want something that works.

  • It depends on the use case. For incremental changes and validation of hypotheses in an uncertain or new product Agile is great. It allows for fast valuation and fast pivoting. I would not recommend Agile for systems that are mostly known and need a big upgrade, that's not what its for.

Agile became a buzzword and shouldn't have been implemented as widespread as it has. It does have its use cases though.

  • I've never had an issue of this gravity on Windows. I use Linux and it has its issues as well. Stability is not why I use Linux lmao

  • They at least seem to care slightly more about the impact they have on the world and humans.

  • My thoughts exactly, I use Claude and find it much better than ChatGPT. Less hallucinations, more useful information

  • I quit everything except whatsapp, it's virtually impossible without actually impacting my life negatively. Been trying and some friends have started using Signal, but most people don't.

  • Goshdarnit, and I was really enjoying perplexity and its relatively low hallucinations and good sourcing of information.

  • Yup, there seems to be misinformation there. Even perplexity gets it wrong, but does say there's some inconsistency between websites.

  • I installed MX on an old Acer tablet/laptop Hybrid. It's one of the few that would run due to its 32bit bootloader but 64bit system. It works fine, but I wasn't blown away either.

  • You got upset because you missed a +1AC item? There's so many much better items in that game I'm surprised this one matters so much.

I totally recognise playing the perfect game angle though, depending on the game I look up collectibles ahead of time, so that when I find the area I know there's one nearby.

  • Fucking love Denmark too

  • Don't get the started on the mental gymnastics of those Americans. They bitch and whine about how people don't treat them the same as the locals, even though after 5 years they speak know only the absolute basics of the local language.

I don't know how they justify it, but they seem to think being American puts them above other cultures by default.

  • That's right, it can even be interesting to make comparisons and hear people's viewpoints. Unfortunately it was very often from an attitude of not knowing why we wouldn't do it like the USA does it, cuz that works so well. Those conversations get tiring after a while.

  • Your security, is the connection to the outside world safe?

  • Exactly! There's no need for competition, but they (blanket statement) always made it about "oh it's like that here, but in the USA...".

  • Western European here, I'm just happy Americans living here are finally getting off their high horse and realize maybe the USA isn't the best at everything.

  • What about security? How easy is it to crack?

  • That is not entirely true: https://www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/nederlandse-nationaliteit/nederlander-worden-geboorte-erkenning

The point that takes this as topic is: "Op de dag van uw geboorte woonden u en uw vader of moeder in Nederland. En uw opa of oma woonde op de dag dat uw vader of moeder werd geboren ook in Nederland."

    Which translates to

"On the day you were born, you and your father or mother lived in the Netherlands. And your grandfather or grandmother lived on the day your father or mother was born in the Netherlands."

So it's not as simple as you put it, there's an extra step there in the form of a grandparent.
