So I’ll admit I’m one of the 5 people that liked this game and really wanted it off Playstation. From what I’ve heard there were “downgrades” like the lighting has been changed for the worse and apparently some of the critical music has been changed because of licensing. So I got my monkey paw wish.
I’ll wait for it on sale and I’ll wait for mods.
Damn I really liked the original ad was excited for the remake. Just happy to have stuff off Playstation.
I guess I’ll wait for it on sale.
So I bought it knowing I had to make an account. I knew I was caving to a shitty requirement. Before you even get to a main menu the game unceremoniously launches your browser while sitting at a black screen. On your browser you are expected to sign into your Playstation® Account. I tried. I tried and tried. An error kept popping up stating “can’t connect to server.”
In that moment I decided on a refund. You want me to sign into an account for a single player game? Fine. I caved and I did, but their servers weren’t ready for a re-launch of a huge game to service a restriction Sony placed on themselves.
I’ll buy it again when there is a mod to remove the account requirement.
This sucks. There is one game in particular I keep the Wii U around for. We call it Fronks but I think the real name is Islands or something on one of the Warioware games. It’s a stupid game that easy to learn and always a hit at parties.
It’s one of the few games that actually uses the tablet in a neat way. And because of that it probably will die with the Wii U.
What happened to them? They were sued? I miss x-fire too.
Have an SD card slot too and that will be really cool.
I expect discussion. But either I didn’t convey my point well at first or you missed it. Either way that’s cool.
I’m excited for a new game. So are you. The last time I felt this giddy was when a new Max Payne game was coming out. That game happened to be Max Payne 3. I ended up really enjoying the game. In my opinion it was a solid Max Payne game and it gave a really good ending for the character. It also introduced me to the band HEALTH which is rad as hell. So for me, I have a fond memory of being excited for something and actually not being disappointed. It seems like lately that’s a pretty rare feeling for me.
What I was describing in my initial point was the feeling of anticipation for something. Not comparing perceived quality of a game, let alone comparing the games themselves. The reason I picked Max Payne 3 is because that’s how long ago I was excited for a sequel.
In your opinion, Max Payne 3 isn’t a very good Max Payne game. In my opinion, Max Payne 3 is a very good Max Payne game.
Cool.
" I am hoping they keep it the same and expand. Not completely change. That’s it. "
Cool man. I hope we both get to enjoy the game.
Just an FYI: This article is 2 years old. Not saying anything has changed or not.
All I said was I haven’t been this excited for a sequel in a while. I’m not comparing anything. You are.
I like All the Max Payne games, I like Alan Wake and I like all the STALKER games.
“Alan Wake is closer to a max payne game than 3 is.” In your opinion.
I really like all the Max Payne games. I’m hoping Remedy’s recent involvement with Epic Games doesn’t keep more of their games locked to the Epic storefront. I still haven’t played Alan Wake 2 because it’s locked on Epic. This press release just says “PC” instead of the storefronts it will be available on, which worries me a bit.
It’s not a very good discussion. I said I don’t really get excited about a lot of things and they went on to explain why the last thing I remember being excited for is inferior.
I imagine this person has very strong feelings about the things they like. If someone told them the thing they liked was inferior, I don’t believe they’d be receptive.
I don’t care to compare things I’m fond of. I’m just excited for STALKER 2.
You must be fun at parties.
Hey, that’s just like… Your opinion, man.
I really try to temper my excitement for most things lately, but the last sequel I was this excited for was Max Payne 3. I can not wait for this game.
I’m doing my part.
From some of the things I read it was behind a paid patreon. This likely brought the hammer down extra fast.
Damn, I can’t wait to fire this up again after so many years.
A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away I used to have a job that had a lot of down time. A lot of sitting waiting for something to break. I installed this on my terminal and would just wait for a call. I miss little moments like that.
Never thought I’d see the day. Anyone test it on deck yet?
