  • Corruption light and Corruption heavy. I have clear preferences if given the choice.

  • This is interesting. I've been setting up our non-profit's new grant-funded Azure VM, then Wordpress site, then CiviCRM, then hardening it all, and I'm hoping to offer this as a (volunteer) turnkey service to a few other nonprofits in town. And it's amazing to me how many hours this still takes, and how out of reach it is for the average nonprofit.

  • The GOP spent 40 years building a Big Tent Coalition. Their message was simple - if you share some of our values, you're one of us.

The Dems have spent the past 10 years building a Shrinking Tent. Their message is now simple - unless you share every single value, down to a specific level of support for each community, you're not one of us.

    And look who's winning.

  • What do you think Trump will do to poor people?

This is every bit the Dems who refused to vote Kamala because of her Palestinian stance - a purity test that helped ensure Trump won, and we'd sit and do nothing as a genocide occurred. But we sure showed Kamala, huh

  • He's redistricting California which, now TWO red states are doing, but only one blue state has accomplished. Will any others?

  • Gavin has done what no one else is doing, punching back, speaking Trump's language. It's getting attention from all quarters. Meanwhile Dems are busy shutting him down preemptively because purity tests. It's another fascinating move from the "we don't want to govern" party.

  • Ding ding ding

One day I looked at the Everytown for Gun Safety placard in my window and realized, this is the problem too, we need to yield some battles to not cede the war.

But that was when there was still hope for that

  • Oh thank god I was afraid some more kids might not get talked into suicide by a fucking server

  • The simple act of comparing signatures meant that it was very difficult to randomly target people. We don't have anything like that today, like a key/token pair.

  • A lot of folks still believe someone is coming to save them. It's fascinating. But it's why we're so badly fucked, yeah.

  • The shit they're doing to the economy worries me less than the shit they're doing to public health because the latter will be the the hastening of an already untimely end for ... well, me. I can be broke (and am damn close) but I would prefer to be alive.

  • Shh we'll get to that in due time, we're still doing "This 4th quarter may not be the BEST ever but it's an investment" which has a certain nonsensical peacefulness about it, like the feeling of weightlessness before you impact the ground.

  • Oh my God trump thinks he's trading Alaska for Greenland. It just clicked.

  • Hell if it got you talking long enough, he might offer to help write you suicide note and get you some rope.

  • I work in a library and have keys to that floor

  • OK over this way, sir, you are being detained

  • Me on drugs washing the dishes

  • Sadly the health gains from doing this now, instead of at a time in the near future, will be offset by the public health gains erased by the conservatives who DO win off this issue with their bases. But we haven't been playing politics with public health and now we're losing it. Funny.
