  • Someone else said Ttitanfall 2, to which I replied “I have it, I have not played it through, only played half an hour to an hour, but I will trust you and play it through soon to give it a proper try”

I will watch for Effect and Cause to see what you like about it so much.

  • I would describe it as software that is not 100% open source, and/or connects to services that run is not purely open source software connecting through standard protcols. It can’t have a proprietary connection.

Basically, if both the software and the service do not run reprodible builds of the software, it is an anti-feature. For example, Proton, Telegram and NewPipe are open source apps, but the source code for their servers is not published so it’s a proprietary connection or servers run proprietary software, so those apps have anti-features.

  • The 5090 could be released in 6 months, forget about the 40 series.

Add at least an NVMe for installing Windows and software programs. Do not use mechanical hard drive for Windows.

The B series board might not be good enough for the Ryzen 10,000 series, but 7800x3D is good, but playing at 1440p it’s going to use more GPU than CPU, but 7800x3D is still exellent.

  • I face value from your description, I find it difficult to say if a program screwed up your system or if one program is conflicting wifh syatem swttings.

Apart from making sure all drivers and software is updated, uninstalling one program at a time to test for conflict, I would be inclined to erase drive and reinstall OS.

Due to playing game seems to make it run fine makes me think it’s not a hardware failure, or games don’t push the hardware in way to trigger what is beginning to fail.

  • You got solid reasoning in all that you say.

Burn-in is not such an issue due to pixels auto adjusting/moving, so te same pixels are not always on.

I don’t have experience with ultrawide but it seems that some enjoy a curved ultrawide to bring the sides in more.

I’m not sure of the connect between nano IPS branding and LG, but I will always say IPS over VA. TN and VA are low grade compared to how much the price for IPS has dropped, that’s why I believe anything lower than IPS technology is not an option for buying, but do what works for you since it’s your money being spent.
