The aim of Signal Foundation is to displace the likes of WhatsApp and Messenger thus it has to support all modern and expected features.
Interestingly enough WhatsApp uses Signal’s protocol for encryption, it’s part of the planned messaging interop forced on Meta by EU.

Molly allows you to use alternative push servers (instead of Google’s), amongst other things.

But they do have mobile arm builds already don’t they? Of course iOS is very different from Android but it’s not like they’d have to do complete port. And it targets the same architecture that’s in macs and they have builds for it obviously.

What exactly is there to port anyway?

Unfortunately, Firefox is not as efficient as Chrome. On a battery powered devices this matters. Also it doesn’t have a native dark mode for web content.

OLED Display on my Zenbook unglued itself after month of use. They removed the ability to unlock bootloader in their phones (after repeatedly lying about it returning). Some people sued them and won. I won’t buy another Asus product.

They do have the choice. It doesn’t mean that everyone has to agree with or respect that choice.

I own recent OLED Zenbook and it’s super creaky squeaky, plus, the screen unglued itself from the frame. The build quality isn’t very good I’d say.
