My first reaction as a ps person was “oh no, that’s a terrible news” But then I tried to think what blizzard got in case they shut the door on ps:

    Wow - never played

Overwatch - ran its course and became a shitshow

Diablo - they won’t release a new one in the foreseeable future and after d4 I don’t think I’ll buy another one, it didn’t scratch the nostalgic itch of d1 and d2 and I know it never will again.

So all in all not a great loss, I’m more than good saying good bye to this money hungry Corp that gives less fucks about her gamer base “don’t you guys have phone”

Activision is one of the oldest companies in gaming existence to still be around and developing. The deep bench it has blew my mind when I googled more than just the headline names. I’ve got both consoles and didn’t see a issue with the acquisition but the FTC fucked up by not mentioning anything other than COD. That’s on them for the loss.

This doesn’t matter that much for me, i can’t remember a Activition game i have played. But i’m sure there are a lot Cod (maybe), Diablo or maybe Crash, Spyro… player that either have to renouce on theses game or play it on another plattform. Sorry for you guys. I just hope Microsoft doesn’t really buy something like Sega.

Sega seems to be doing fine right now. They recently blew near a billion buying Rovio, the owner of Angry Birds.

Seemed like it was only a matter of time before this went through. I’ve been following this mostly on The Verge, and from the summaries each day, it seemed to me as if the FTC cared more about protecting Sony than consumers and the free market.

In a perfect world, this wouldn’t happen, but since it did, we’ll have to see how Sony responds given how Game Pass has just increased its value proposition.

If it motivates Sony to also create its own killer FPS, like a new Killzone, I don’t really care.

I have no interest in almost every XboX exclusive, except Gears of War and Forza Motorsport.
