(…) Guerrilla Games says it still has plenty of content in the pipeline for that PlayStation series. Speaking at Develop: Brighton, studio director Jan-Bart van Beek said that Guerrilla has around “16 plans” in development for the franchise.

“We’re going to be continuing it for a very long while,” van Beek said (via GamesRadar). “As people probably already know, we’re also going to be working on a multiplayer game.”

I hope they go with a more linear gameplay, I’m done with openworlds. Seriously, side-quests are so fucking abused. They are ridiculous, it’s just artificial content, they give nothing in return.

I liked some side quest more than the main story. For example the guy who loved killing bandits in first game was my favorite - not only he was fun to interact with, his presence gave flavor to an overall boring concept (kill everyone in a location marked on the map).

Yeha, I remember that one, it was a good one. Although it got monotonous pretty quickly, I remember doing the same thing like 4 or 5 times.

If they had created fewer side quests, they could have made that one even better.

Machine strike was great as a side quest but I agree with you for most of the others. Although Horizon is clearly good at side quests, I still think the main story is what matters.
