Still can’t believe that some people thought this was possibly going to happen.

Can you get a more obvious publicity stunt?

Idk, he really just woke up one day and was like “let me pay a shit ton more than Twitter is worth so I can run it into the ground” and then woke up a year later and was like “all that goodwill in the accounting books? Let’s throw it away with a shitty rebrand”

Should have made him sign a contract that says if he doesn’t fight he has to pay a billion dollars

Especially since Elon backed out like a month ago. Unless he waffled on it.

And even if it did happen, it wouldn’t have been the ultra violent bout between billionaires that (IMO) made the idea popular. There’s a good chance it would have just ended up being two champions both guys hired going through the motions to get a ridiculously large paycheck (that was still ridiculously trivial for either one of them).

You heard the men. If we want a billionaire cage match we’re going to have to get off our asses and lock them in the cage ourselves.

One bright spot about living in the post-apocalyptic hellscape we’re trending towards is that there’s a pretty good chance that your local warlord will decide that capturing former billionaires and making them fight to the death is a fun way to bring everyone together.

All I wanted was to see two billionaires beating the shit out of each other due to petty grievances. Is that really too much to ask?

    Brave Sir Elon ran away

    Bravely ran away away

When danger reared it’s ugly head,

He bravely turned his tail and fled.

Yes, brave Sir Elon turned about

    And gallantly he chickened out.

    Swiftly taking to his feet,

He beat a very brave retreat.

Bravest of the brave, Sir Elon!

No shit, Elon would’ve gotten his ass kicked to a potentially legitimately dangerous level, and he knows it.

Why are we even talking about these two Billionaire idiots? I 'd rather we boycot them, or at least don’t give them so much extra exposure. They are just behaving like egotistical, attention seeking toddlers, imo.

BREAKING: Wealthy fancy lad pussies continue to be wealthy fancy lad pussies.

There’s a reason the owner class lives behind guarded gates, work inside guarded towers, surround themselves with subordinates to fight their battles as they quiver behind them, send their children to wealth segregated academies, and generally wall themselves off from the society they oppress and exploit from cradle to grave. Here’s a hint: it isn’t bravery.
