Patchnotes for the upcoming 1.1.1 are live. Have fun reading^^
Yesterday I played my first nightmare dungeon with the “Resource Burn” affix and thought the whole time: Are they serious?
The affix said only distant enemies burn resource, but in reality every hit even in melee removed all my spirit as druid. I only managed to finish that dungeon due to using a cooldown heavy build.
Good thing they are going to remove this crap. It looks like a great patch overall.
One thing missing: They should really reduce the mouse distance to the horse for max speed. Riding downwards sucks.
If I remember right there was a slide at the campfire chat where they issued the horse changes, smoother riding and so on. I hope they will silently add it like the vram changes
I’m very hype for all the changes to Chain Lightning sorc! We might finally be rolling with the big boys now. We’ve got:
- 2 more jumps on the boingboing aspect, which gives aoe damage, single target damage, mana regen, and crit chance/bonus damage from skill mods
- mana aspect now grants you mana from everything struck, not just yourself, and will feel the way it does fighting a boss with it currently
- tons more Dr from glyphs
- Vyr’s mastery damage buff is now 15% instead of 10%, and has an aspect to make you take reduced damage from close enemies
- Temerity rework is a great choice for sorcs now
- Omnipower’s mana consumption will now count towards things that care about mana consumption, like the passive that gives you DR per 100 mana used, or chain lightning enchantment
- Omnipower will also only consume the mana needed to add extra projectiles, it won’t totally drain your mana pool, making the build much smoother to play
Overall, I think these changes will free up
8-114-7 talent points for the standard CL build that uses CE to regenerate mana, plus probably some paragon board gains if we can drop the mana gain on stun legendary nodeI literally rolled another sorc (original on eternal) just to try these changes out. I had vowed no sorc until more build diversity, but the notes look promising.
Make sure not to finish the seasonal quest line until you farm up a few good Omnipower hearts!
These changes are what may have me play Sorc next instead of Rogue after my Druid. I love chain lightning.

Agreed that these changes look exciting! Wish they’d come sooner for my sorc on the eternal realm though…
Not sure it’ll free up THAT many talent points, but even half of that would be pretty good. Overall smoothing out of the gameplay so you don’t have to min-max just to be mid-tier is a great thing.
Oops, you’re right, it’s actually 4-7. I’m not sure where I was getting the last set of 4 points from
You might’ve been right the first time; I don’t have builds or the talent tree memorized. I was just going off feelings/intuition and it wasn’t based on facts. Regardless, extra points to spend elsewhere is great!
I think it comes down to if you want to spec out of chance to stun with shock skills
In addition, it looks like there are VRAM management changes as well: https://www.wowhead.com/diablo-4/news/patch-1-1-1-includes-vram-fix-blizzard-confirms-334424
Is this why game game is so laggy despite having 100+ fps? My VRAM is usually at 95%+
Or is that an online issue?
Very likely. If you’re playing on Ultra settings especially this should help.
Possibly. I believe that most of the issues that make things look “laggy” are client-side rather than network/game server related. VRAM issues may be part of the cause, but also have caused situations where the game crashes as well.
Considering that the main fix for stuttering has been to turn down texture quality, this makes me hopeful that performance will improve a bit.
These notes look good to me and a step in the right direction. Enchanting gear should be better at not getting the same rolls constantly and the chargers damaging you after they die should be fixed, quite a few times I’ve died because of that which caused dungeon fails.
Thanks for posting the link! Changes look good, it seems people that were complaining about the barber in overworld/group settings will be happy.
As a Necro using the Barber, I’m happy to see they fixed it. My friends were getting mad at me for absorbing all their damage. I guess it was preventing Druids from getting Spirit back through some of their abilities.
Perhaps a lucky hit thing? It seems lucky hit won’t proc on the immune hits.
Yeah, it’s some lucky hit skill. I don’t play druid so I don’t know the exact details.
Story and Uber Lilith not getting health adjustments: https://www.wowhead.com/diablo-4/news/uber-lilith-health-not-being-adjusted-in-patch-1-1-1-blizzard-confirms-334436
Butcher without a build will be a huge pain…
Yeah, hoping he gets exempted as well.

I only see boss health increased unless I’m missing something. I think that’s a good change because bosses are way too easy in D4.

That’s just bosses, not all monsters

Bosses (I don’t think it includes elites) usually are alone or spawning their own adds. So that two points practically unrelated

I’m confused what you were trying to convey in that case. Players have been asking for mob density to be increased and we’ve also asked for bosses to be a challenge. This patch seems to be giving us what we asked for.
If monsters have more density then they have more health. That’s just science.
