Read his tweet again and you can see that he thinks socialism means that you push money towards the “most productive”. Then you just gotta think about what he means by that and suddenly it makes perfect sense that he’s happy using public money to enrich himself because he, while in reality less than useless, believes himself to be a valuable super genius.

I knew Elon was full of shit before it was cool. Before the Cyberdumpster came out, he claimed that they would be manufactured with the tight tolerance of plus or minus five microns. Either he had no clue what the fuck a micron is, or he thinks no one else does. As a machinist myself, most of the smaller parts I've made were plus or minus 15 or 20 microns. If you don't know, a micron is one millionth of a meter (or 0.039 thousandths of an inch in "freedom units").

Strangely enough, pure democracy which is rule by the majority, and is the ONLY known model of government that does not centralize power and wealth into the hands of the few, is ridiculed as being fascist by educators, politicians, and economists. Why is that? "But but but it overrules the minority!" Oh so the 3 most popular models for government which overrule the majority are better?

Communism's very definition is that of a system putting the people as coowners of the means of production instead of centralizing them in the hands of an owner class. Start with the basics and be more humble when you talk about things you don't know. You could also just ask people.

You entirely missed the point. The point is that authoritarians, whatever the stripe, always bait the population at large with offers of control of their lives and improving their lives in a reductionist and simplistic way along with the offer that the leader will do it for them in a simple way. Just trust the leader. Doesn’t matter if it’s communism or capitalism (which is not a form of government, it’s an economic system), the form offered is pretty irrelevant. It’s the person controlling the offer to consolidate their power with the false offer for the populace.

The fundamental flaw in his thinking here is that people who need assistance through no fault of their own are somehow less valuable.
You could make the argument for a difference in value from a purely amoral standpoint, but even that argument for nonassistance to the needing falls apart under the reality that providing a basic standard of living to those who need it comes at such a small proportional cost to the 'productive' population that refusing it borders on absurdity, considering the social and economic costs of refusing to do so.
Another great example of this in the specific context of Elmo is his antagonistic stance towards all public transportation. Building out more is an economic value add but it’s a threat to his business model so he’ll always actively attempt to hinder it.
He’s the one guy everyone knew growing up whose dad “works for Nintendo” that somehow actually became successful; all of it built on a mountain of bullshit.
I've said for a long time, you can either fund education and social services or you can fund police and prisons, but one way or another the disadvantaged will cost something to be dealt with.
Not to mention that in the vast majority, providing that support allows these people to find work in the first place, or to get a better job. This in turn results in more income and sales tax revenue, meaning that the initial investment is repaid.
This has been proven out over several different social assistance schemes, not just blanket UBI - though UBI is still the best option.
