It's an RPG like the old school one and not some kind of strategy game, right? So you have to pay extra to be, like, a Nosferatu vamp instead of the basic one? That's wack.
Because if your thoughts themselves are just caused by quantifiable particle collisions on any scale, it would diminish the notion that you actually have free will. Thst even your thoughts are not inherently from you. That they are just another thing caused by deterministic forces, and could thus be predicted. Like fate.
Can we be sure he doesn't actually have some kind of disability that makes him so stupid? I mean, he had a fucking worm eat some of his brain; that had to have had an effect.
The theories aren't meant to strengthen free will. They say the opposite. That free will is an illusion caused in part by all the random cosmic particles colliding with the particles that make up your brain.
To be fair, most humans either don't wanna hear it or want to be paid a fuckton of money to hear it. It may not be the best option, and this is by no means a defense of it, but it is an option that is widely available so I understand it.
Been playing Stardew Valley and I gotta say it's pretty great that I can get virtual hugs and words of affirmation every in-game day from my character's spouse. It sure is better than nothing.
